A source confirms to E! News that Black Box alum Kelly Reilly has landed a series regular role, and Almost Human's Michael Irby, Suits star Abigail Spencer and The Tomorrow People's Leven Rambin have all scored recurring roles.
These four will join the previously reported True Detective season two stars Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Kitsch, while Rachel McAdams is rumored to be near a deal to play the fourth and final lead role. Our source tell us both Reilly and Spencer were in contention for McAdams' lead role, but the network wanted to go with a more well-known name instead.

Season two revolves around three police officers and a career criminal who must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.
Vaughn will play Frank Semyon, a career criminal struggling to move in a legit direction. Farrell will play Ray Velcoro, a "compromised detective." Kitsch is set to play a detective, and McAdams, if cast, will play the third detective.
Reilly's character is described as the "self-possessed Morgan," while Irby will play McAdams' partner, Elvis. Rambin will play a beautiful woman with a history of drug problems, and Spencer will portray the survivor of a sexual attack.
Justin Lin, who recently helmed the Scorpion pilot, will direct the first two episodes of the eight-episode second season, written by creator Nic Pizzolatto. Production will begin later this fall in California.

frick yeah. Love reilly & spencer.
I love mcadams and hope she works out a deal for the starring role, but it also would have been nice had the lead female role on a big time show gone to spencer. I feel like she's been around forever in supporting roles, and never has really been given the chance. Obviously she has rectify, but not many people have or will see that.

GODDAMNIT. Cary Fukunaga isn't directing the second season? That's not good. I feel like a large part of the first season success had to do with the continuity between all of the players, and for season two if you have one dude direct a couple and then another guy and so on, tone and style get fricked.
