The concept itself (using shells) I don't think is inherently trashy. I could see someone using that type of imagery in an engagement announcement or party announcement, especially if will have some type of outdoorsy/mountain/southern theme. I've seen several very high end weddings of that type that it probably wouldn't be weird in.
But this is a terrible photograph with text just superimposed on top. "I said yes" is horrible too.

My guess is that it is a homemade announcement, hence, it looks shopped because it is.
