Just schedule the wedding to start late so that all the Tiger fans that leave early can make it

And saturday night it will be 36. Weather in november is unpredictable. Spring is the only time for an outside wedding.

Eh, LSU didn't even play that day. You had me thinking you did it on GoTC or something

If you pulled that last year in this state that would've been a hoot

I didn't know that when we had to schedule everything.

And if that was the day that worked for us, that's when it would have been. Life would have gone on.

ETA: There would have been no rants by my wife or I, and there would have surely been TVs at the reception.

There's a reason everything lined up for that date.

Nobody else was dumb enough to hold a wedding then.

People want to say they'll find out who their true friends are, but you ain't much of a friend to me to pick a date which coincides with something I pay tens of thousands of dollars on.

And personally, I have missed or left early from family weddings, and it's not me that they should be concerned about when scheduling their big day, it's the overall turnout and attention of their partygoers that really matters to them.

Well, no shite, Sherlock.

That response is only intended for those who would call out someone for not attending their event, when they didn't do their due diligence in coordinating it.

I was at a wedding last weekend. Started at 5:30..we played at 6:30.....ended up leaving about half way through the reception. Also, there's a reason why no one "liked" the post either..now days...marriage happens about 3 times a lifetime, so.

Well by all means, destroy her idea of what she wants in a wedding over a football game. She should understand, right?

Im sure it won't be the last time he will need to instill some logic into her head.

If you have a fall wedding, you do it knowing there could be a game against it, and sometimes you surely know there is a game the same day. You are forcing people to make a choice. There is no reason to even take the next step and judge those for making either decision.

And for goodness sake, if you have it DURING a game, set up a TV.

No guarantee of that, and the schedule had us playing on Saturday until late May.

This will lead to football game/anniversary date argument in years to come. I would NOT do a bye week!

There is always a conflict for someone. Can't make everyone happy.

These other "men" are claiming they would or did stand strong in their beliefs, and asserted them, yet you criticize them....

Says the guy talking about child molestation and homosexuality. You're the one that took this thread there.
