Yes, it actually does. As stated just in this thread, there are plenty of people who liked it.

It wasn't bad from a production standpoint. It wasn't bad from an acting standpoint. You might not have liked the plot, but there are 1000s of movies with terrible production, acting, plot and direction.

So yes, you do Hyperbole Much.

I like it quite a bit and appreciate that they tried to move it towards being Halloween anthology movie series.

What's funny is they went back to Micheal Meyers b/c they didn't think 3 made enough but it wasn't until they brought back Jamie Lee Curtis for Halloween H20 and Halloween: Resurrection (7th and 8th in the series) that it once again made anything near the first two.

1 - 325k budget, made $70 million
2 - $5m budget, made $25.5m
3 - $2.5m budget, made $14.4m
4 - $5m budget, made $17.7m
5 - $3m budget, made $11.6m
6 - $5m budget, made $15.1m
7 - $17m budget, made $73m
8 - $13m budget, made $37m

No, it really doesn't. There are plenty of people out there who like Plan 9 From Outer Space, too. It doesn't change the fact that it is among the worst movies ever made.

I wish AMC would include this in their Halloween marathon because I'd like to see it some day.

I've seen it on AMC every year around Halloween. It's actually the only time I see it on tv.

In fact, it's on right now.

I listed production values, acting, directing, plot.

Pretty much all of those are within norms for horror films.

Not one of the top 1000 bad films in the last three decades. Not remotely close to worst ever.

Thanks for playing.

I've literally never hear anyone say that. It's dumb schlock that's been largely forgotten.

It's a fun movie that has a couple of really good scenes and Tom Atkins, man, Tom Atkins.

This movie was absolutely terrible, IMO. It was a horrible idea on the part of Carpenter. It was a horrible idea even if it wasn't in the Halloween series. IMO, there is no identity to it. The only enjoyment I think anyone could get out of this movie is that it's awesomely bad. Like Troll 2.

it was el terrible

I just pretend that the original and H20 are the only ones made, and it makes for a much more frightening tale

I thought Halloween 2 closed out the first one well. It wasn't nearly as good, but a nice finish to the story.

I don't think Friday the 13th Part V is that bad, either. Sometimes people underrate the "oddball" of the group.

I love this movie. One of my favorites in the series though it's criminally underrated. It'd be more appreciated if it were a stand alone film.

The first two in the series are better though. The original is the GOAT horror movie so that's no knock on III.

It has a higher Rotten Tomatoes score than every single Halloween other than 1 and H20.

LINK

It's got a 4.4 on IMDB which puts it nowhere near the bottom 100 list. Considering the amount of positive written reviews from IMDB users its highly likely its only 4.4 b/c a group of super fans automatically rate it a 1 since they are upset its a Halloween film w/o Micheal Meyers.

It does. Though, they probably should have just put it in with the first one. There was no need for that story line to be it's own movie

I do too. It is aggravating as hell.

That movie should have just been its own movie. No need to make it a part of the Halloween series (the really didn't even try to bring it in except for the name). It wasn't a great movie by any means, but just teasing the audience that it was going to be a Halloween movie, and then it not even be close was just mean.

I hated that movie when it came out. I wondered where the hell was Micheal Meyers being that this was a Halloween movie and instead got the "Silver Shamrock" shenanigans

I actually laugh at it now, so if anything, your statement is the opposite for me and likely many others.

Yea, I despised it when it came out. Now I can laugh because it is one of those classic bad but somehow good 80's movies.
