in future votes. Not a single Moo State opponent has been threatening to tie or win the game against them at the end of the contest, but LSU. Ugly as the first 3 quarters were for us, that's the damn truth. We've given the number 0ne team in the land their biggest scare, back when we were unquestionably a less polished team. This should count for something.

State has also not pulled their starters in the 3rd Q against anyone but LSU.

Mullen got a little cocky and it almost bit him in the arse.

ETA: defensive starters

or...how about we raked kentucky over the coals and they struggled like hell.

I bet kentucky is the runner up in the east behind georgia.

that would be cool. Maybe...by some miracle they win the east

A second string center had a major screw up, but they'd pulled Day justifiably. The prevent was a much State's problem as the personnel.

This is reality as I see it as well.

And I do plan to enjoy the rest of the season, no matter how it turns out.

Bingo.

Also, LSU has plenty of chances in the last few weeks to move up the rankings. I have a sneaky feeling that if LSU were to beat Alabama then LSU would move up from #19 in the rankings. But none of it matters at all unless you are in the top 4.

Kentucky was kicking an onside kick trying to get the tying score, MSU just returned it for a touchdown to end the game . I would say that is threatening

Our problem is that we lost to Auburn by 5 touchdowns.

We're right where we should be. In fact, we should be behind West Virginia too.

He did shuffle some folks around, like most other coaches would do with a healthy lead. However he never had all of the starters out of the game as some have suggested. Furthermore, midway of the first drive Harris led, They were rushing people back into the game. All of their starters were back in the game for the final two drives and they still came close to losing. That is a valid point raised by the OP.

No doubt.

Not sure about that, but WVU, like us, can move up quickly given what is ahead for them.

The only thing they are considering is 41-7. It only gets worse for us as Auburn loses (if they lose).

Playoffs are virtually impossible this year.

Mullen made a BAD coaching move. That is a part of the game. As far as I'm concerned, its the same as waisting your time outs. Or sending your offense back out on the field to run one last play when you could have kicked a field goal for a tie. I'm sure that seemed logical to Freeze at the time but that turned out to be the wrong call. Mullen taking out starters might have been logical to him at the time but was the WRONG call. Should we devalue the Ole Miss win too because we benefited from a bad coaching choice?

FACT.... It almost cost him too....

I have co-worker who thinks Arkie is better than LSU cause Bama only won by one point.. HIS way of making Bama look better in his mind.... The same can be said for LSU fans that think the MSU game was not a domination by The Bulldogs..

I usually agree with you. 99% of the time.. But here... noooo.
vs. Alabama L, 23-33
Towson W, 54-0
at Maryland W, 40-37
Oklahoma L, 33-45
Kansas W, 33-14
at Texas Tech W, 37-34
Baylor W, 41-27
at Oklahoma State W, 34-10
TCU
at Texas
Kansas State
at Iowa State

I've bolded their "Challenging" games.. Notice how the only two challenging games they've played in, they've lost.. Please.. Any SEC West team would go undefeated through that schedule. I think Nov 8 will answer a lot of questions about WVU vs LSU

Well when Bama played Bama, technically one SEC West team would have to lose

There is a reason games are played for 60 minutes and there is no mercy rule.

Auburn is what is killing us.
