Thats the story of the NFL... Less mistakes and you win

Wins don't count if your opponent makes a mistake down the stretch.

IMO, as of now, if they were to play on a neutral field, San Fran beats:
1. Dallas
2. Philly
3. Green Bay
4. Seattle
5. Detroit

Thus, me ranking them that high.

With this 'logic,' give the Lions a hypothetical win against Buffalo when they were up 14-0 and missed 3 FGs, only to lose 17-14. After all, 'they should have won.'

They're scary

Their defense has been downright scary. That prevents them from being #4.

And how do you put GB 4 and DET 9? Detroit is up 1 game on GB, and they already beat GB in week 3, 19-7.

Lot of people sleeping on the Steelers right now.

If they beat Baltimore.. They have a good shot of getting to their bye week at 8-3...

When they win they just look alright and/or squeak by.
Apologies that victories over teams with records of 6-2, 5-2, 4-3 (which has won 4 of their last 5), and a divisional rival that ended the game getting annihilated on a 31-3 run are not convincing enough.

When they've lost they've just looked bad.
Losses to a pair of 6-1 teams on the road can from time to time cause that, particularly in the instance of one of them coming with the absence of 3 All-Pro defenders.

Toughest strength of schedule in the first half of the season in which they were heavily depleted. I don't fault the sentiment that they haven't passed the eye test, not everyone can play an NFC South schedule. They have among the easiest second half schedules, so there are some pretty looking dubs ahead.

Bump so everyone can edit to take the Niners out of their top 10 lists.

And get Denver out of 1 spot & remove San Deigo ( no top 10 team should be losing by 37 in week 9).

Have you seen the rest of Denver's schedule? They have the tie breaking win against Indy, but New England has the tie breaking win against them. They will likely go 13-3 or 12-4, just like in previous years. They win likely earn a bye in the first round.

The best teams in the NFL right now are New England, Denver and Arizona - in that order.

???

Title of thread rank top 10 in NFL at halfway point?

I said Denver is not top right now with there loss Sunday.

You come back with a paragraph to explain there schedule and tie breakers and shite.

Then you rank the teams 1-3 and Denver's not number 1?

So I'm confused? So Denver is your number 1 or not.
