All depends on the criteria of the poll. Ole Miss has had a better season, so in that regards, they deserve to be ahead of LSU.
But, what we don't know about Gilbeau's poll, or how the committee will actually select is how much weight will actually be put into rewarding who has the better resume, who they think is actually better and who may have a better record head to head.
Personally, I think Bama fricks everything up. Well, their perception does.
See aTm got the boost last year from beating them in 2012, this year OU and Auburn got the boost and Ole Miss is staying up at the top because they "beat bama".
I think Ole Miss will beat Auburn this year, but I still think they're both vastly overrated because of their most recent victories vs Bama. If LSU beats bama next weekend, things will really get interesting.

Looks like a simple SEC poll to me, pretty much a "who beat who" ranking. Miss St. is undefeated and beat Auburn and LSU, Auburn beat LSU, LSU beat Ole Miss, Ole Miss beat Bama..etc,etc.

You can make an argument if you ignore margin of victory.
If 1 and 2 are correct, there is no reason LSU can't be #3. Ranking so they lost to teams above and beat teams below isn't a bad way of doing it.
