Jelly tell me that isn't short for jealous. Seriously, do people say that in Louisiana. Nobody in NY talks that way. We have our own slang that I wouldn't use here.

Believe it or not there are people on the internet, and also in real life, from NY, who use the word jelly as a colloquialism.

schtick is a Yiddish word. Jelly tell me that isn't short for jealous. Seriously, do people say that in Louisiana. Nobody in NY talks that way. We have our own slang that I wouldn't use here.

Age has nothing to do with it. Regionalisms. For ex nobody in NY would say butthurt

But I guarantee I was following soccer and attending international matches before you Johnny come latelies. They had tons of international matches in NY before many of you heard of soccer.

and thanks for the info everybody all friends here

Every single line of this post is retarded, and for some reason, it really annoyed the shite out of me.

First of all, using the words "butthurt" and "jelly" isn't a regional thing. It's an age thing. Maybe people in your circles don't say it, but you seem like an older dude so that makes sense.

Secondly, latching on to something so trivial to take a stance on says that you have very little to add to the conversation overall. This directly combats your little "Johnny Come Lately" shot.

Lastly, I don't give a shite when you following the sport. I've followed it since the 90s, and I'm pretty excited to see all sorts of "Johnny Come Lately" fans getting into the sport. That means people are going to see it as a more viable product, and I get more matches available without having to head to some shitty streaming site.

Not worth arguing about. I agree the higher number of fans will get more games on tv. Look at NBC showing all the EPL games. Now if we can get an LSU soccer team

I bet Herrera would have choosen Landon.

I think that was a major screw up.

But I understand the point he making and love the direction we are heading in.

UPDATE TO OP: Full quotes and link from Soccernet

quote:

"I also can't explain why Jurgen is there," Herrera told ESPN's Jorge Ramos y su Banda. "The truth is that maybe it is because he is German, because that is the only explanation we have."

quote:

"Really he hasn't done anything to deserve to be there," Herrera said. "A better choice would have been the coach of Costa Rica [Jorge Luis Pinto] who did much more than Jurgen [Klinsmann]. Yes, he got them to the top of the CONCACAF group, Costa Rica were very close to them and at the World Cup there was a huge difference. Those are things you can't explain, but things that happen."

Herrera's more jelly than JeauxBleaux
