Has this been discussed? From my understanding, the title will be I Saw the Light. Hopefully they will do justice to one of the all-time greats.

Not a huge fan of Loki as Hank Sr. Hopefully they'll loop his singing voice.

Hiddleston has been doing various shows across the country to practice.

From the bootleg videos he sounds perfect. It's awesome.

I have a feeling that it's going to be awful. Hope I'm wrong.

They should have just got Hank III. He looks just like him for obvious reasons. I heard he wasn't happy with them choosing someone who wasn't a Southerner let alone a foreigner.

I like Hiddleston as an actor, but he sounds like Paul Lynde when he sings Hank Sr.

Not knowing the full Hank Williams story, let me guess how this goes...

Born poor with some kind of dysfunction in his family
Despite the odds, he hits on a one in a million chance and makes it big
The demons from his childhood manifest themselves in adultery, alcoholism and drug addiction
Is basically an absentee parent
Then he does young

This premise sounds nothing at all like the other 50 music biopics.

Maybe, but have you ever heard There's a Tear in my Beer in a movie before?

Are we watching the same videos?

He sounds nothing like Williams.

The only CD I had in my HS car was Hank 's greatest hits. I can't imagine I'll think they do him justice no matter what

I'm worried about the casting as well. Also, not so sure about having the youngest Olsen sister as Audrey.

Positives though - Rodney Crowell is working as the vocal coach and I think has a huge say in the music and this should be more true to life than the George Hamilton version which was pretty much controlled by Audrey.

I was mildly surprised with Last Ride, even though they took some liberties with the story I thought it was a well done film. Can't wait to see this one.

Hamilton portrayed two of the Big 3.

He played Hank Sr. and Evel Knievel.

I don't think that he ever played Jesus Christ.

Hopefully it will be good. I am a big fan of Hank.

I think Middleston is a good actor and he kind of looks the part, but in that video the voice way way, way off.

A Hank Williams Sr. movie just came out. The Last Ride. It's pretty good too.
