A team that lost to us is #4. How does that make us irrelevant? If we were irrelevant, then Ole Miss would have fallen much further down the line.
The committee must have watched LSU beat them and still figured, "Well, it isn't easy beating the Tigers so we will give Ole Miss a pass tonight"

This is not the typical poll. I'm not sure exactly how it works but they may do blind tests and things like that, not taking in name recognition. It may not matter that ole miss lost last week, rather they lost by 3 points on the road to a top 20 team.

This. They won't leave out the SEC champion unless they have 3 or more losses. Just take care of business and hope we get the breaks we need.

I expected us to be a few spots higher than our current ranking in the polls.....but doesn't matter......LSU wins out they will be very firmly in the top 10...and with a little help (ok a lot) in the top 4.......would be a hell of a season.
