Will stream it later in the week once it is on primewire or tubeplus. The one they did on Iraq earlier in the summer was really informative.

I could swear I saw this episode a few weeks back...it pretty much implicates both administrations (Bush, Obama).

Yep...but I programmed it anyway. Forgot how they tied Bush in.

So Obama green lit PM Malaki to off key Sunnis when Malaki took over. Swell.

Watching the episode now. So far they have made no mention of Pres. Bush.

Frontline is awesome. One of the best news shows on TV. I also really like Secrets of the Dead. Both are very informative.

It's sickening how many warnings we avoided. But it's also clear that we put someone in power of Iraq that was completely incompetent.

I wonder when Part 2 of this documentary will air?

We just didn't exert any control over his dealings even after we knew he was screwing up so badly.. This is a real black eye on the administrations foreign policy or lack there of.. "This is the Al Queda that Bin Laden dreamed of building".. Stacked with experienced military personnel

I just watched it as well. Ben Rhodes is still a hack as expected. Panetta who was in charge as SOD played the blame game in not so many words. Very surprising considering he had a lot of stroke as SOD.

How all of these other nations collectively aren't mobilizing is beyond me. This threat is a million times more serious than anything Saddam or Bin Laden could've potentially done.

Was a great show - thanks for posting the link.

Makes one wonder. I suspect they really don't like Western Civilization and would like to see it take a dive. Of course, while remaining in the plausible deniability category.

When oil becomes obsolete, the ME does too. But who knows; the future is so malleable.

Great Doc.

yeah, its really the only reason to keep PBS around. Frontline could never find a home on cable IMHO. its a huge money suck, ratings are pretty bad and really pisses off a bunch of people.

source: relative works for PBS.

No doubt At least the GCC is making strides to diversify in particular Dubai.

Still amazing that all these atrocities - far worse than Sudan IMO - and countries are just sitting on the sidelines

Obviously we don't know the extent of the US involvement (ie. "military advisors" which are probably death squads as well), but I'm really having a hard time understanding why the whole planet isn't involved.
