The next entry in the Battlefield franchise is coming during the holiday season of 2016, Electronic Arts' CEO said during an earnings call today.

Andrew Wilson said the game will release during quarter 3 of EA's 2017 fiscal year, which finishes at the end of December. No other specifics were provided, but this release supports the recent predictions of analysts, who said EA may wait until 2016 for the next installment. This would not only avoid franchise fatigue, the analysts said, but also clear space for Star Wars: Battlefront in 2015.

How hard would it be for them to go back to the game play of BF2MC? That was a lot better than BF4 on 360. I just don't like the cod and halo type game play we have in 4. I used to could play BF2MC for hours, I get tired after 4-5 games in 4.
