Think about it. We are playing the coach that got Tiger fans to stop storming the field.

I really hope that we have the opportunity to do it again. I don't think I will participate but if it means I don't have to hear rammer jammer....count me in.

I bet the state troopers and other field level law enforcement were really happy to hear that one. Joe Alleva is probably their favorite person in the world now.

Just collect a dollar from each person on the field.

25,000 people = $25,000 = fine paid

Wow. No lie

(If LSU fans had stormed the field after Troy State in 2008 and the fine were 25k, a dollar a piece wouldn't have cut it)

I think the SEC rule actually make it more dangerous, because schools will be more afraid to develop security contingency plans for storming the field for fear the SEC might see that as an endorsement of storming the field.

Its our fricking field.

Don't worry it'll just reflect in some sort of future fees passed on to the consumers buying tickets

I'm sure this is the last thing that the security personnel wanted to hear. I was expecting Alleva to send out a letter saying something along the lines of " we appreciate the enthusiasm, please don't do it again". But if he is ok with it, then by all means commence to party. Just hope it doesn't turn into thunderdome afterwards!

I'll have much more respect for Alleva telling The Man (SEC) to go suck a long, fat one and not pay the fine. It's OUR field!! What are they gonna do?!? Kick us out of the SEC? Storm away after we defeat Bama next weekend, people!

That's Bama's justification for all their cheating over the years.

Was there.. We wouldn't have had enough for a $1k fine. haha. I'm glad I stayed until the end... even though it was ridiculously cold.

How does this reconcile with teams, such as TAMU, that lets pretty much anybody mull around on the field after the game. They don't necessarily storm it; but they seem to have the attitude that it's the fans field too.
