Favorite college player vs. Favorite College team

So Colt McCoy coming back to Dallas tonight got me thinking, who do Texas and Cowboys fans root for?
Same thing would probably apply for:
Cam vs. Falcons
Peyton vs. Titans
Eli vs. Saints
Manziel vs. Cowboys/Texans
I'm sure it depends on how big of rivals the teams are, but I feel like it would be tough not to root for your favorite college player.

You think Cowboy fans give a frick about Colt McCoy?
There is lot enough overlap with college and pro guys to matter. LSU and the Saints are one of the very few. Most have several teams and most NFL cities have shitty college programs.

I guess I just thought that there are a lot of people in Mississippi that are Giants fans because of Eli, and Auburn fans that become Panthers fans because of Cam. I didn't if this happened for other schools very often.

Difference is Cam/Peyton/Manziel seem to be more transcendent players for their schools. I mean I just don't think Colt has the same allure to Texas fans that the rest do to their schools

I'd just assume Julio never catch another pass against the saints. In saying that I do root for Julio to have good games against other teams as long as they lose.

Fair point, but I think Texas fans view Colt higher than any other player except for maybe Vince Young. Could be very wrong about that though.
