I have started the fight in my league to make the 2nd RB slot a flex position.

My argument is there are 20 WRs/TEs who have 500+ yards receiving and only 6 RBs who have rushed for 500 yards. Some RBs are good receivers as well (Forte and Foster come to mind) but why should I be forced to play some dude who will average 40 yards a game with 10 carries instead of playing a WR who will get 60 yards a game who I have to leave on my bench

Curious as to thoughts of other fantasy owners

Guess luck is not on your side this season?

Hasn't really been an issue this year for me honestly. I have Forte and Bradshaw, who have both been good. I also have Gore (auction draft btw).

I just think requiring 2 RBS when there are only 10 total reliable ones is difficult

That's kind of what makes it challenging and keeps everybody moving.

Draft better. Watch WW. Everyone is faced with the same problem as you, therefore it should affect everyone the same, therefore making it a useless argument.

FYI, I dislike 2RB formats... Also, FWIW, I am currently starting 2 additional RBs in my flex.

I actually love that this is the case. It allows for several different draft strategies.. and every person is different. It makes it more challenging and fun.

Ok, well wouldn't it make it moreso if you just make the 2nd RB a flex. If you want 2 stud RBs, go for it? Want to pay $80 of your $200 budget for Gronk and Graham, go for it.

I agree most are having the same problem, but is that fine then? Because everyone is dealing with it we should leave it as is?

Thanks for the thoughts as opposed to just saying draft better, which doesn't even apply to an auction

Make trades and watch the waiver wire.

Overreaction to a half of a season. Pump the brakes.

Of the top 50 RB/WR in my league last year, 23 were RBs. 27 were WRs.

Interesting. Maybe I am overreacting. Just seems that even guys who were sure to be great, like McCoy and Charles, have been 'eh' so far, and obviously with Rice/AP problems it has been a less than stellar RB year

I feel you man... I got shafted in both my leagues last year. Did extra research this off season and drafted single, kid-less players.

But we also play in deeper leagues, so the chance that someone has more than 2 studs is highly unlikely.

I actually mentioned this to our commish a few weeks ago. There are only 10-15 studs and then the 2nd tier is ginormous. I'm not sure if I was serious or not, but I definitely think it warrants a discussion.

It's the same for everyone, so it's not like there is an unfair advantage

I think you're being silly

We did this in our 10 man league this year. I don't really care either way. WR heavy teams start 1 RB and RB heavy teams start 2 or more RB. I've been starting 2 all year because I have beast mode and Le'Veon Bell.

I don't think it's broken enough to fix it. It makes it involve more strategy because you need depth there the good options are so limited. It's kind of why people were taking Graham, Gronk, and Thomas first couple of rounds...it's a huge advantage to have someone in that position thats way better than others options. Even if they don't put up as high of numbers consistently as WR1s.

If you changed it next year everyone would just load up on WR's.
