Seattle Sounders striker Clint Dempsey may be on his way back to the Premier League this winter according to several U.K. outlets including The Mirror.

The latest rumour is that Aston Villa, Stoke City and Queens Park Rangers are interested in adding the U.S. international for the second half of the Premier League season.

Dempsey is fresh off securing the Supporters' Shield in MLS and has the MLS Cup playoffs next up on his agenda. The 31-year-old has legit Prem experience with Fulham and Tottenham and it's well-documented how U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann feels about where his charges should play.

I think you're not very smart, but what does that have to do with Clint and the EPL?

The prem sucks donkey balls, and he´d have to take a pay cut to play for a shite club.

You´re a moron.

Across the board, it may be a down year, but this is a foolish statement.

It´s the number two league in the world, we all know that.

He´s going to play top flight clubs ten matches a year, and then shitfests....

QPR is a mess. Villa would be a nice move.

With all our injuries, we could use some Dempsey. Plus I could use a new kit... COME ON DOWN TO VILLA DEUCE!

Does it really matter if he does? It's not like he is still in his prime, or growing. I have been down on Dempsey every since he left Fulham, and he has not been the same since. It's time we start phasing him out of the USMNT anyways.

That would be alot of miles on those legs

Hes had an EPL season straight into a MLS season, an MLS off season on loan, the world cup/ MLS season and this would be another loan going into a an MLS season.

Agree. I'm not even sure how many minutes he gets if he goes to a Stoke or QPR. He was constantly criticized for being lazy two years ago, and I can't even imagine how much he would be criticized now. I for one hope he doesn't go back, and that way as a USMNT fan, I don't have to see him riding the bench at a mid table club.

I really hope he goes to QPR. That would be awesome.
