Alabama's defensive line would literally destruct Oregon in the trenches.

Stanford can't score - but can move the ball.

Depends on Stanford's redzone O and Oregon's D which is sort of lame.

But I'd be shocked if Oregon doesn't win by at least 3 Tds...this is not the same Stanford team of the last few years.

Oregon will beat Stanford then lose to Utah the following week.

I can't fault your logic. Utah in SLC is a scary game after a physical game against Stanford. I do take solace in the face that Oregon seems to play better against ground and pound teams. Our linebackers are a liability in space. Stanford probably can't capitalize on that, especially in the redzone.

Bama wishes it was half the institution that Stanford is.

Stanford wishes it was half the football program that Bama is.

Well that's true.

But Bama's claim to fame is basically one sport.

As much as I hate Stanford...people fail to realize they are the sports machine of the country and NCAA.

Despite their claim to fame as rigorous academics (of which Notre Dame tries to claim but doesn't even come close) - Stanford is the dominant sports program in this country...and has been for the last 30 years...with UCLA a close second.
