If Les Miles manages to get this very young LSU team to beat Fla, Ken, #3 Ole Miss, #3 Ala, Ark and the Aggies, it will have been one of the greatest coaching feats of all time anywhere when you consider the enormous power of this conf. The Mad Hatter will truly have no equal in college football. Would truly be a remarkable feat.

it would be, but slow your roll a bit there, hell i'd be happy if we got 2-1 on the next 3, 9 and 3 and the opportunity to win 10 games AGAIN, with the youngest lsu team i think we've ever had, thats an amazing feat in my opionion

He would be the hottest coach in college football at the end of the season. Saban still has 3 NC titles at Bama and Urban has 2. Even though Urban and Les are 3-3.

i might be mistaken but beating bama would make LSU the only team to have beaten 2 top 5 teams this season.

I think it would be fair to say Les would have navigated his team as well as any other coach, perhaps better than any other coach, for that six game stretch. However, the coaches who take their teams to the four school playoff get the nod for doing a better job for the season.

If we have any chance of beating Bama we will have to throw more when Bama cheats up it's safeties.

Hot indeed, all of the top recruits would be lining up for Miles!

Hmmm...slow your roll a bit. That's a helluva broad statement.

How so? Finish in the top four and you've done a better job than a coach who had his team playing well doing a six game stretch.

What schedule did those 4 play? Safe to say two or three of the 4 didn't touch the strength of schedule Les is labor in through.

Other than Dan Mullen yes, he would be one of the COTY candidates, but no one will see that other than this fan base which is delusional to start with.

Les Miles would be the talk of the playoffs, with media remarking that his defeat of two SEC top ranked teams would be the only reason these others got in.

FSU is going to make the playoff due to their easy schedule. Not because Jimbo did a great coaching job this season. I would say Les and every other coach in the sec west has had a tougher road to hoe than Jimbo this season. Not to mention he can't keep control of his starting QB off the field...

Then wins and loses and rankings mean nothing. Coach of the year would always go to the coach who did reasonably well with the much tougher schedule.

Coach of the year doesn't always translate to best coach. IMHO Its the guy who got his team where they wanted to be.
