Can we now dispell ALL doubts about who the best MLB is

Beck is the real deal and has almost single handedly transformed this defense!
It's almost alarming to me how someone else could have started in front of him. I could care less if a DT lines up in the wrong gap, or whatever DJ was helping with, this guy has hands down been the best mlb on this team since last year.

TIGERLEE still supports Welter

That hit he laid on 3rd down late in the game was a thing of beauty.

Not ready to dispelled that yet.

who has been expressing doubts?

it shouldn't be, Beckwith stated several weeks ago that he finally had a full grasp of his responsibilities and the game had slowed down for him

He has been awfully quiet around these parts

He made a damn strong lick on a wr quick screen near the sideline. A friend of mine who played lb for LSU looked at me and said, "that's what we've been missing"
Sideline to sideline at the line of scrimmage...balls out! That's what a mlb is supposed to do. Not spend the night 5 yds downfield locked up by blockers.

Too many to name...saying crap like we just looked good because it was Kentucky or Fla. Well Kentucky just ran for over 300 against MSU and we just bitch slapped OM's offense.

I still support Welter, just not as the starter at MLB. The kid still gave 5 years of his life to the program. shite, I'm grateful to the kids that never start a game and just play on special teams... And even to the guys that never make it past the scout team.
I know you weren't try to disparage players like Welter, but I think sometimes we lose sight of the fact that these young men give a lot to the University.

KB really reminds me of Michael Brooks...

quote:I'm glad that it's only ALMOST alarming to you. A person of lesser intelligence might have used Beckwith's improvement as a way to bash Miles for playing Welter earlier in the year even though Beckwith himself admitted that he's made huge improvement lately.

Wow what a sacrifice a true martyr! You act as if the kids been in Iraq

This is one thing that is fans were right about from the beginning. Beckwith is better and should have been playing the whole time. Good job rant, we got one right!!

Beckwith is obviously more talented in every way, and always has been. its not that simple. a team like Ole Miss does some incredibly deceptive stuff on offense. this for example is not a 3 receiver set. or 4.
its a 5 receiver set, and the RB goes left, not right, against the flow of the play
with a few seconds to read the play, this probably doesnt look like a 5 WR set either
but it is
it takes time to learn how to see that stuff. Beckwith has had that now.

Beckwith played out of his mind last night, but let's not pretend he's been this good for 2 years. He'll, he wasn't this good just 3-4 weeks ago. The light seems to have finally come on for him, and we are clearly a much better defense--and team-- for it.
Posted on 10/26/14 at 12:49 pm to GeeOH
I'm pretty sure everyone but Tigerlee thought Beckwith was better.
Posted on 10/26/14 at 12:50 pm to GeeOH
Beckwith wasn't near this good when he played early in the season. It's easy to make snap judgements after he played such a ridiculous game but I don't think he was that much better a player than Welter in Week 1
Always a better athlete but he played out of position a lot early on. He's much much better the last several games. I think taking him along slowly was probably the right thing to do even if it hurt you in the short term, because holy shite he's an animal
