How bad were the refs? For those that watched on tv

Because in the stadium they looked awful. At one point borne had to announce for people not to throw anything on the field, I was sure he was referring to the refs.

I didn't think they were that bad.
Yeah they messed up on the whistle and that interference play over the middle.

There was some bad call and some student from the very top of the NEZ threw a white nerf ball or something, it made to the 2 yard line

The pass on the last drive before the defensive pass interference was offensive pass interference.
They missed a face mask on Hilliard on our TD drive.
The inadvertent whistle was horrible.
But I've seen worse.

Horrible on that first series inside the 10, seemed OK after that, although we never got to see either of Goudchaux's two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

They were terrible in that one stretch of the game. Not against them in particular, but I hate how refs let kids celebrate plays all game long without correcting them and then, in the most emotional part of the game, the throw a flag for an excessive celebration penalty.

They were from the "don't interfere with the outcome" school of officiating, but that didn't stop them from calling the pass interference against LSU of course.

No it wasn't. If he had done it after a TD, it would have been called as well.

That long OM TD that was overturned in the 1st was close but it wasn't clear enough for a reversal. A payback call.

It can be legitimately in the rules and still be chickenshit, but I see your point.
It also looked like Wallace threw the ball in disgust a couple of times after the play, but I guess they didn't want to eject him.
