He won't be fired after this season, but if they are terrible again next year his seat will be very warm

Another long KSU pass called back because of a damn holding penalty This game should be 27-0.

Ole Man Snyder is awesome. What he's done for that program is miraculous.

I think the most annoying thing about watching a down texas team is that even though they are down, they are not getting blown out in the games they are losing. As a Michigan fan whose team is also down, we are getting blown out every game. It pisses me off to see a supposedly "down" Texas team losing each game by only a few points.

Sorry, but you are not a truly "down" program if you only lose to the sooners 31-26.

I don't know if you've been watching this game at all, but K State is getting nearly every call.

Not as bad as the missed pass interference call in the 1st half

Probably should be PI refs

This year is a reflection of just how bad Uncle Mack left the program. Saban couldn't win 8 games with this group

Mack Brown was awful, team of thugs and non tacklers. It will take Charlie a while. State of Texas football is a mess.

Even the best coaches in college football had shitty first years.

Pete Carroll went 6-6 his first year at USC.
Nick Saban went 7-6 his first year at Bama.

But both only lost 2 games the next year.

So Strong needs to produce in this day and age quick.

Charlie Strong doesn't have the attributes necessary to succeed at Texas. You have to be a CEO type who is great with the fans and media. He doesn't give he fanbase there the time of day, is a horrible interviewer and acts like he hates being there during every press conference.

Their entitled, arrogant fanbase simply wont tolerate his "strictly football" attitude, even if he wins. They fired Mackovic one year after winning the Big XII because the big money guys couldn't stand that he shut them out.

But Saban was a great choice.

Saban is great with the fans in private from what I've heard.

Strong closes all practice to the media, doesn't do fan or autograph sessions, doesn't really talk with the big money guys, etc.

I like Coach Strong, but I'm afraid his team could follow the Muschamp trajectory: great defense, no offense or QB. And he doesn't have the benefit of starting with an 11-2 season.
