if we win the toss i hope we receive

i think it would be a great idea if the coaching staff tells our guys look, if they win the toss they'll most likely defer and if we win the toss we're going on offense. Would give the offense a huge boost of confidence that we're going to come into this game swinging, and not stop swinging.

I'm cautiously optimistic for tomorrow, but if you don't think LSU goes 3 and out first possession, you're kidding yourself.

Second half possessions are inherently more valuable than first half ones. Unless your defense sucks arse and your offense is a juggarnaut - you always defer.

I'd rather have the first possession of the second half. We usually have a better offense by that time.

Not really. You can be cautiously optimistic about the game as a whole and still believe we will be ultra conservative to start.
