I love this story that I first heard about 5 years ago in a TD.com thread.

Thanks for sharing. I try to learn something new everyday, but I sure didn't think it would be this. I have often wondered how the ref could keep up with Cannon all the way down the sideline like that. I know Cannon was tired at this point in the game, but how a middle-aged referee could keep up with the speedy Cannon has always perplexed me. Now we know. It was actually a 20-something, long-legged man with balls of steel.
