Hate? I was agreeing with you. A healthy respect and appreciation for responsible gun use is a good thing, and it is pervasive in the "redneck" hunting culture.

I don't see anything wrong with letting the kids express themselves by posing with something that's important to them..

No issue with kids and pics with guns before I even say this. My yearbook had just plain ole tux/dress photos. Why are portraits even allowed. Suppose to be classy in my opinion. Rednecking it up, nerd, goth, emo, ect is just stupid to me. But what do I know i graduated in 1990.

I graduated in 1972, they probably would not have let us take pictures with our guns, it was also a tux/dress thing, but if we had been allowed, most of the guys just had to walk out to the school's parking lot, and grab a rifle or shotgun off the rack in the back window of their truck!

Since it appears y'all have not seen a yearbook in a while, in the back of the yearbook there are generally senior photos. Parents buy space in the yearbook to include a message to their kid with a photo, generally a senior photo or baby photo.
