Watching those really makes me realize that Drews passes don't look like that this year. I really think that preseason oblique injury was worse than we thought and is still bothering him and affecting his throwing motion.

P.S. Why is the 2nd one not moving?

Meachem may be a decent blocker but he can't adjust to the ball in the air worth a flip (and he can't catch with his hands). Morgan would tremendously help Drew's deepball efficiency.

There has to be some reason why Joe Morgan gets a healthy scratch every week. Is it the doghouse because of off-field issue? Is it possible he's still recovering?

3 things in common on all those gifs,

Drew Brees has a like 5 or 6 yd bubble around him.

O-line is so crucial to our crazy arse playcallers strategies.

Meachem is starting to do the things that lance & Devery did that annoyed the crap out of everyone. He no longer tries to go up and get the ball, he always seems to try and wait for the ball to get to him.

I think 3 of Brees' INTs were passes to Meachem where he could have made a play on the ball and at the very least caused a break-up, if not gotten a PI call.

Well here's one reason... that's a really good defense he's playing in that clip and there's no defensive lineman anywhere near him.

O Line
O Line
O Line

That's really all it is.

I don't know man. Yeah I agree the O Line has been pore on pass blocking but Drew is just not moving the same this year. Watch how he does his little hop and sets his feet then follows through with the ball. He doesn't do that this year. Maybe he doesn't have time to but I just don't know.......

He's jittery as well, he's not comfortable knowing his line can't protect him.

I'd put it more
1. OLine
2. OLine
3. Oblique
4. Playcalling

Sure he's jittery, it really fricking unnerving having angry 300 pound dudes pawing at you. Look at those gifs again, there's no one within ten yards of him. Show me one play in the fourth quarter of the Detroit game where he has a pocket that clean... Or better yet, one play where as he cocks his arm back to throw, he's standing ten yards back from the closest defensive lineman.

Look at the first frame of the giants play and the packers play... It's literally ten yards from Brees to the point where the defensive line is grappling with the offensive line. Ten yards.
