What are your thoughts on the slogan "people before profits"?

This is one of the stupider slogans tossed around in political discourse, in my opinion.

It is as empty a statement as any political catch phrase.

Like the two are mutually exclusive. Let's see how good people feel when they don't have a job.

Just to follow up on how stupid liberals are.

Tons of Christian people volunteer their time, money, and efforts to help the less affluent constantly.

Yet these same Christians are racist war on women people..

Two weeks libs. Two fricking weeks.

so stop being a woman hating christian racist.

see problem solved.

I actually think its funny that you think something wonderful will happen in two weeks.

Washington DC will continue to be the exact same way.

Nothing will change...the gridlock will continue.

But by all means have your party

I also see things like "shared prosperity for all".

That's one the nicest slogans you could give socialism.

I think it is silly slogan on the level of "hope and change".

It sounds good to people who are easily manipulated by catch phrases, but it is ultimately meaningless.

Pursuit of profit is what's driven humanity forward so far and we are no where near close to evolving beyond that need.

The only reason for a corporation to exist is to increase the current stockholders wealth.

It's a slogan that represents an ideal based in fantasy. Typical liberal ideology. Implement destructive policies with peaceful intent.

The American dream is a fantasy...and too many fools believe it.

By all means keep making corporations rich
