51.7% completion versus 68.9% completion. Both are very, very run heavy offenses. Difference is one has a reliable QB who completes almost 3/4 of his passes. Ours has trouble completing half of his. Saying our passing attack is better is asinine. Tell me this, who if your team was down by three scores early, who would you trust to bring your team back? The guy who completes 50% of his throws or 70%?

No its not. UGA qb has 26 less yards.but his compl % is almost 20 points higher and he has a far better qb rating.

But they aren't. The only reason ours are higher is because we've been able to connect on the occasional 30+ yard deep ball to Dural. UGA's passing attack is much, much more reliable.

The post I called idiotic said, "Georgia. . . people know they can sling it around." How does your post make that statement any less idiotic? Georgia has the second fewest passing yards in the SEC.

Chubb has the slight edge in YPC, 5.0 to 5.7. Fournette has 7 TD's to Chubbs 5 with only 9 more rushes.

Statistically not much difference to this point.
At this point, if you were to ask who is more valuable to their team, the obvious answer is Chubb.

so the reason LSU has more passing yards is because the LSU quarterbacks have passed for more yards.

Dude, Georgia has 20 more completions than we do despite playing in one less game than. Their passing attack is more reliable than ours. They are better at opening up a defense than we are. They're RB's don't face stacked boxes every time they line up to take a hand off. Their offense is basically a carbon copy of what we did in 2011. Short, high percentage throws that make the defense respect the passing game and put your RB's in a position to succeed. They're passing attack is better than ours.

We get it. You would rather have more completions and fewer passing yards per game.

LF has all the pressure on his shoulders to live up to the hype. All Chubb has to do is go out there and not suck against teams that take him lightly bc he isn't gurley.

Go take LF's stats and extrapolate them out as if he was a feature back, then we can talk. His ypc is or was tops in the nation for a Freshman.

Yardage isn't that great of stat when used alone. If you start your drive from the 50 and score on one passing play you're not gonna have as many yards as a team that starts at its own 20.
The facts show that while UGA doesn't pass for a lot of yards, when they do pass, almost 70 % of the time it's a completion. Where as when JENNINGS throws the ball a reception happens 50% of the time. Give me the qb with a far higher completion % and qb rating over a qb with 20 more yards passing.

He is saying that when Uga passes it's far more successful than when lsu passes the ball. Any coach will take a qb that throws for 180 yards and 69% compl over a qb with 230 yards and 50% compl.

Chubb is the real deal. Fournette is good but hasn't shown the "once in a 25 year talent" that he was touted to have. He may just turn out to be a very good lsu back instead of a great one. Chubb would be the majority choice of an unbiased crowd. Regardless, I'll be pulling for Fournette this wknd to run all over OM.

Chubb has 30 and 38 carries in the last two games that he was the feature back. If LF gets that many carries his stats would be video game like.

One thing on Georgia's offense: they utilize the middle of the field for passing. Tight ends, WR crossing routes, drags etc

The offensive philosophy makes the defense respect the passing game so there's not so much predictability like LSU has

so you think short passes push the LBs and saftys back? because yes, UGA does throw short, Gurley is their 3rd leading receiver despite missing 2 games, Chubb is 5th despite only starting 2 games.

do pass plays like that back a defense up, or do they bring it closer to the line?
