someone with more expertise than i have can probably help with that. I've never tried it. I do know that from time to time my jambalaya burner gets clogged and burns funny.

Thank you for the help.
Know of any places that rent the kind of stand I need? I guess worst case, I can cook the meat in a cast iron, and then dump it all in the crawfish pot.

Don't think anyone probably does, but if anyone did, I figured this place would know.

banjo burners/stands are fairly cheap.

I'm so fricking dumb.
There is a little metal attachment piece over the flame for their crawfish boils to I guess distribute the heat to the entire pot.

I just needed to turn it. 10 minutes after I did, the pot started boiling.

Well how did it turn out? Were you able to cook on that crawfish burner?

Came back to gloat a little.
Came out great! Well, at least for my first time doing pastalaya and cooking in this huge pot, I would say it went great.
Burner ended up working out great too.

Was also a little inebriated the entire time cooking.

TD jambalaya cooker excel spread sheet is the shite though.

Just cooking in the pot alone got a lot of attention, including Joe Alleva.

Next time, I will try throwing some more veggies in the pot. A little underseasoned maybe, but had a great time making it while out tailgating.

I ended up taking some other peoples suggestion and going with boston butt as a substitute. Well, specifically boston butt country style ribs just because it was less prep than having to get a real boston butt into bite size.

Just FYI most butchers will cube it for you at no charge.
Good job
