We're building a house and will need EVERYTHING from garbage disposal to new TV's and everything in between. We sold everything when we moved because we moved somewhere furnished. Is there a site (prefereable free) that offers the best and most comprehensive reviews of these?

Side question: Do stores put appliances like washers and dryers on black Friday sales, or is it typically just popular consumer electronics?

TIA

Consumer Reports has been my bible for many years for everything from cars to laundry detergent but I like to balance that with reviews from actual users. Amazon far and away has the most extensive collection of user reviews. Lowe's and Home Depot are good for the major appliances that amazon doesn't sell.

Re appliance sales, I snagged a deal at Lowe's a few years ago on a Whirlpool French door fridge for $1299 that still sells on sale today for almost double that. It was a Black Friday deal that ran for the entire month of December. So, yes, there are deals to be had.

Look at Ajmadison.com for appliances. They are sold individually and in packages.

When you figure out whats the best choices my neighbor who is an appliance repairman says go with Fridgedaire fridge or freezer and whirlpool everything else.Parts are readily available and anyone can fix them. Bosch makes good appliances but its almost impossible to get a repairman even for warranty work in most places.

Saved 4k on my appliance package for my personal home. For my clients I always recommend getting an appliance allowance and using them. Talk to one of the sales people and usually they'll save you an extra couple hundred off Internet price. Will drop ship to your door for free
