You know why bullying is such a problem now? Because schools outlawed smear the queer. A good ol' fashioned game of smear the queer lets everyone get their aggression out and when the bell rings to go back to class all is right in the world.

Life is terrible and it's going to get worse. It's an important lesson for children to learn at an early age and bullying is a catalyst for such a lesson. Let it run its course and just hope the little guy gets something out of it.

If your son gets it at school, then tell him to knock the kid out. It only takes one arse whoopin to make a bully stop. It'll also be a sign to the other potential bullies not to mess with him.
But the bigger issue is why the hell does he have instagram in the 6th grade? Does he have an iphone too? I think that's a problem right there. Kids need to hang out with friends in person and do things outside. Otherwise he'll turn into a socially awkward weirdo that puts pictures of his cat on reddit.

Exactly... who gives a shite about a suspension for fighting in 6th grade? I got suspended in 7th grade for fighting back against a bully and I turned out just fine, still got into the college of my choice and everything

I have an 8 yr old with no instagram, FB, cell phone, or social media of any kind.
But he does have a rifle, a shotgun, a bow, a spinning rod and reel, a tackle box, a fly rod, waders, and various footballs, baseballs, and BMX bikes.
Funny, he does not really get bullied.

Yall really think blocking the social media, or the specific bully on facebook or IG is going to work? You can still see on other friends pages if the fig is posting shite about him. Also if the bully is still trolling facebook about him, you know all the kids that are on board with the bully are going to talk it up at school.

I'll admit I'm more sensitive to this than I used to be. My kids are still all 7 and under, and I've always maintained that my kids won't have social media, phones, etc until much later (play outside, dammit).
But I have friends with kids between 9-16, and they said they finally gave in after realizing depriving a 12yr old of social media was basically ensuring he/she won't have many friends, much less a girl/boyfriend unless they live next door.
It's a shame. I dread the day I have to make these decisions.

The problem with the social media today is the amount of people who see it, so in turn it amplifies the thought that everyone is against them. Seeing a normal kid with over a thousand followers is common/ridiculous.
