Any show where the blue angels are flying is worth seeing. I got to see them practice in Pensacola, free air show basically.

Used to have them every year here in Belle Chasse. Would rotate Blue Angels and Thunderbirds every year. Extremely exciting. I went to the actualy run way once or twice, but other times, I just watched from my roof or those chairs that you can basically lay in.. (The ones on the beach you use to tan)... since we literally lived a fence jump away from the base.

The one I went to a few years ago had a demo of the F22 Raptor. That was more awesome than the Blue Angels. I swear he made that thing fly backwards at one point.

I used to go with my dad when I was younger to the Houston Air Show. It was pretty dang cool. We had a blast at them. The Harrier demo was pretty awesome and that big rig truck with a jet engine on it was funny to watch. Overall its a fun day, especially if the weather is right, which it should be.

We have the F-22 Demo team here at Langley.

AKA most awesome Aircraft in the world, being flown by some pretty amazing pilots.

Walk into work seeing them doing loops in the sky, awesome way to start the day.

I miss the Belle Chasse shows. I lucked out in 2012 when they came to NOLA for Navy Week to fly a show over Lake Pontchartrain. I left work around noon and went watch them fly the practice show on Friday, I was basically out there by myself with my camera (most of the above Blue Angel pics are from that day). The next two days, the wind was too strong and it kept blowing the booeys out of position, so they cancelled both days. Definitely glad I went out there and got to see them.

This parked at the port of NO was pretty cool to see as well.

Those are great. How long have you been shooting? is it your day job? I am a landscape photographer mostly. But like to mix it up every once in a while.

Saw the one in Seattle this summer while in a boat. Amazing stuff.
Even seeing a Blue Angels practice is pretty cool stuff if you ever get a chance.

Thanks, not a job at all, just a hobby. I've been doing it for about 5 years now I'd guess. I kind of do a little bit of everything as well, just whatever keeps it fun/interesting at the time.

Went to one many years ago as a school field trip. Blue angels, a B2 stealth bomber, and an SR71 blackbird. Was amazing!

Yes they are really cool. A few years ago the government landed a lot of the service aircraft in air shows due to the recession but I think they are back in action. There's nothing like fighter jets zipping by at a low altitude.
