He's not black until he drags an unconscious woman out of an elevator.

It's a slap in the face to Russell, but I think Jalen Rose explained it great a couple of years ago. He had that public spat with Grant hill and Coach K when he pretty much said Duke only takes uncle toms.

A young and ignorant rose saw a dicthomy between the black kids in his neighborhood and the black kids going to duke. Grant hills dad was an all pro Cowboys, jalen was the 1st pick in the NBA draft? Who grew up broke? Who grew up with privilege?

Jalen lived the stereotypical inner city black life and envied what hill had. So these kids mischaracterize the other kids as acting "white," and lash out at it. It's part ignorance and part jealously

You're crazy. Detroit re-elected race-baiting Kwame Kilpatrick. Holder was AG of the nation. Sharpton has a shown on MSNBC. And none of them are (deservingly) ridiculed by the media the way a white racist is.

and Duke was a state Representative.

Also, start a thread and ask who takes Sharpton seriously, see how that vote goes.

I see an assertion that "many" Black people don't like Russell Wilson. No one can say "many." Also, the fact that Russell Wilson's family is intertwined with many HBCUs I'm sure there are indeed many Black people who know and love Russell Wilson.

I think some of Russell's teammates see him as an arse kisser more than anything.

Two different situations. Jalen didn't know Grant Hill. These are guys who know and work with Russell Wilson saying this. Big difference.

This is all news to me.

I think the author mischaracterized the players grievances or the players have deemed certain qualities as being white..which would just make those players dumb. Or they just can't articulate their sentiments

Jesus Christ he has his own television show, SOMEONE takes his arse seriously.

And black people saying other black people aren't "black enough" is just them trying to express how they want to distance themselves from the evil white man no matter the cost.

That's not true. Plenty of Black people love White folks. This is about a player the other players deem an arse kisser not that he's not "Black enough."

actually it's a report that says the players said

HE IS NOT BLACK ENOUGH...it still might be about him being an arse kisser, but then you see where that leads

Black folks can't wait to get home to watch MSNBC. That's all we talk about (sarcasm).

Yeah, but a report doesn't mean it's factual or that this report is accurately capturing the situation as it really is.

LOL Black folks don't watch that shite. If White folks only knew how many Black folks can't stand Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. But, they can go on and listen to that bullshite if they want to.

I didn't read the article, but I was under the impression that we were talking about "not black enough" issue, whether the article was factual or not.

And yes, I believe my other post to be true

It's not factual, but I'm not dismissing it either as I've seen this play out IRL and heard this complaint over and over...mike freeman has zero credibility, so it has that going for it.

The thing is stereotypes are rooted in reality. But, people regardless of race aren't monolithic. Like the poor Whites from Mississippi that were featured on HBO a while back. Like I know those people are real and there are plenty of them but I know those aren't all Whites and I know those aren't all Whites in Mississippi.

that's a bad example as I forgot that MSNBC doesn't give a shite that no one is watching

most television networks operate another way...people watch it or it goes

currently I'm enjoying the show black-ish...I think it is really funny
