It's a PITA, but it's life. Call popadent and go to Home Depot, buy some wood, build a bridge and get over it.

I tried texting him and no response yet. As for letting it go, frick that. I didn't drop 45k on a truck for some shithead who can't keep his cum spawn in check. I'll sue him if I have to. And yes, Auto Zone said I can get the camera footage if directed by a cop. Kenner PD is coming to do a report.

So if he calls the cops a claim is automatically reported? Or if he calls his own insurance?

Read back through the thread, you are correct.

If you cant get him on the phone, file it through your insurance.

It will be paid after your deductible on your comprehensive coverage.

While I was sitting it my truck at Auto Zone. It's to the metal and also made a small dent. It was the edge of the door of a Honda Accord, which comes to like a point. I got out of my truck and he apologized but I asked him to pay to fix it. It's a 4 month old truck. We exchanged cell numbers and I wrote down his plate. Of course I call the number and it goes straight to a message saying the voice mail is not set up. I can see two cameras on the parking lot so I am sure it's on camera. Call the cops? Will I get shot? I have no dogs with me.

Stop being lazy and parking next to other people. My wife hates it, but I always park far enough away from the store so that I'm not next to any other cars. I don't trust anyone.

My uncle did that in the 60's. He had just purchased a GTO and was back from the Army.
A guy dinged his door, and blew it off and laughed like it was no big deal.
Unc had his combat boots on, and kicked his whole door in.

You actually called the cops?

Pony up the $150 bucks to dent doctor or whatever and chalk it up to experience.

And, just curious... how old was the dude's son?

thats awesome.

My grandpa used to ride motorcycles when he was fresh out the navy. He told me if someone was tailgating him he would toss a big marble or ball bearing up and try to crack their windshield.

My parents would always remind me to watch their door when getting out of the car. This is back as long as I can remember. I took that with me. Sucks that people don't give a shite about other people belongings they work hard for.

I guess nobody has to work for anything anymore hence the sissy attitude about responsibility

A few days after I bought my first Vette, an old lady parked in front of me so close that when she put in park, she rolled into me. Pretty good lick.

I was pissed, but what was I gonna do? Curse out an old lady?

I went home and buffed it out. (shrugs)

the car shouldn't have backed in that scenario. The reason he parked so far from the piling is so he could wiggle his fat self out most likely. still funny

And while what they did is an accident and something that happens everyday, what you would do in retaliation is a crime which, most likely, would be close to a felony in dollar amounts of damage in most states.
