LSU fans more than any other fanbase are always wanting players to transfer for some reason. I don't get it.

bee,
let's say the negatards on here represent 15-20% of the fans. these are the boobirds that want LSU to LOSE!! they hate the coach and want LSU to LOSE!!

it is unfathomable to me that they stick around just for their negativity, but they were nurtured that way and have been negative like their parents ALL their lives!

i try to observe them w/ compassion!

= spin

On Wednesday's SEC Coaches Teleconference, LSU head coach Les Miles was asked what quarterback Anthony Jennings learned from being benched before the Auburn game.

Miles responded by saying that Jennings was not necessarily benched but that It was more or less the evolution of the position.

Or, he will develop because we have a QB coach and guru in Cam Cameron. It is pretty childish to think that he can absolutely, in no way possible, develop with proper training. If that is the case, then Harris will not develop either. If that is the case, it doesn't matter if we get any 5 star QBs, because they will also not develop.

Do you know how stupid your argument is?

What has Harris done against any pass rush this year?

Apparently the new line is that "Harris doesn't know the playbook."

This seems pretty true to me. We all saw him mess up vs. Wisky, then try to hand the ball off to the wrong side of the formation multiple times in other games.

I'm not knocking him, it's a lot to learn. He'll get there.

But his issues with knowing where to hand the ball off - that's a death sentence in this offense.

I would say we've seen very little development in either guy so far this year. AJ should be further along than he is. Harris is still a work in progress I guess. Anyway you cut it, the QBs have not looked good.

he must not have a full grasp on the playbook 'cause if he can't beat out jennings then he needs to try running track

If you guys had been Mississippi State fans you'd have been demanding that Dak Prescott be cut in October 2012. "He's had a full year and a half in the system but he can't even complete a forward pass! He only can run 3 plays! Prescott is obviously not progressing, he's hit his ceiling, let's cut our losses and move on!!"

What does that mean?

Literal translation
It means he needed a fire under his arse and the "competition" was never a competition in reality. It also means GFY to anyone hoping to see Harris much more this year.

Miles definition
It means nothing. He's just talking in cryptic circles like he always does and is trying to make Jennings feel more comfortable going into Ole Miss.

Exactly. Look at Zach Mettenberger.

Benched isn't the right word. You could argue it accurately described Harris for the Florida game; but if you stress you intend to play both players and you do so, it's not accurate to say you benched either one.

No, he works his arse off to win the starting job, like he nearly did as a true freshmen.

Here's a reminder to you morons, if he transfers, he sits a year, so his first year to even have a chance at starting for the team that wasn't his first choice, would be his 3rd year, when Jennings is a senior. It would be a very illogical decision to leave.

And the season isn't over, if Harris doesn't play a significant role at some point this season, that would mean we finished pretty damn strong. I think he gets some quality playing time either way

Mett should have been further along as a redshirt junior in 2012, but he and Jennings have similar stats. Some kids take a couple years before they "get it". Some kids take a couple years before they are even starting.

Wallace, Marshall, Mason, Thompson, Sims, Allen, and Worley did not start until they were 3rd and 5th year QBs.

Screen pass has looked good recently, and he has checked down to his RBs and FBs several times in the past two games. I have re watched those to see him go to the check down after his first option. He's improving at a snail's pace, but he also doesn't get many opportunities. At 20 pass attempts per FBS power 5 contest (when you remove the Auburn game where he only came in late), how can he develop much during games?

The light will come on at some point this year, it might be against Ole Miss or Bama, but when it does, it will be worth it.

Harris is better. Who gives a shite if you have to go thru some growing pains. At least you're doing it with next years starter! To go thru this bullshite with a sub par production at qb and KNOW he is not the best we have and won't be the starter next year, its just dumb.

We aren't winning shite year, and deep down you guys all know it...So what, get prepared for the journey! Not playing Harris meaningful snaps every game is hurting this program for the future.

I do not disagree with sticking with the hot hand, but that wasn't the case and still isn't.

Miles and company need another Mett, IMO...someone who just strolls onto campus and is basically already a top qb. There is no development going on with these guys.
