I think if Harris was able to take the same lumps as Jennings did we would be further along as a team than we are now. Jennings has a list of issues that prevent him from being productive from the pocket. Harris however, his problems stem from adjusting to the game which can be fixed with more game time experience. Jennings issues need more work and should be addressed during the off season. JMO

I certainly hope he doesn't. Fwiw I don't think he does. I think he loves the school and wants to graduate from here. But like the other poster said, it depends what his mindset is. If he's willing to potentially be behind the other guy for 3 years

We should let Harris get his reps before he transfers. Itd be a shame to let a talent like that leave.

Kind of like how Kyle Allen must be transferring because A&M's coach won't let him play this season? Oh, I forgot. Only our guys are so impatient that they'll leave if they don't play immediately. Harris is a true freshman. Anyone who thought he was gonna come in, start immediately, and light the league on fire needs to call their local physician and schedule a cat scan.

Im so sick of the "Harris might tranfer rumors". That would be stupid if he did.

I don't think they're even rumors. Just some "fans" looking to dump on or burn down the program.

Why would it be stupid for Harris to transfer?

...because unless he's going to a lower division, there won't be a situation out there where he'll have a better opportunity than at LSU to start.

Anybody that thinks any sane LSU fan wants BH to transfer is an idiot. If Jonah Austin or Mickey Johnson want to transfer so they could play a year like Chris Davenport, I don't think any sane fan would say anything but good luck and we appreciated you as Tigers.

Anyone who thinks Harris starts over Jennings at any point in the next two seasons is a dumbass

We are winning games with Jennings, which is good enough for Miles. Our defense is improving, and a qb who has been in the system a year longer than the other guy is apparently more trustworthy at this point.

I saw nothing against Auburn or State for that matter that indicates to me that Harris is the one who should be leading this team... if we want W's, that is.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. We would also likely have a few more losses, which hurts the stability of the program from a recruiting standpoint. It is also possible we hurt Harris' development by allowing him to "take his lumps," as confidence is a huge factor in quarterback play. Maybe Harris really DOESN'T know the playbook well enough to lead the team.

Again, we are winning games. We can run the ball and we are playing better D. That will get us wins if we can take care of the ball.

Harris is a better quarterback than Jennings, which is why our fans should just be patient. It will happen.

But we must also place a priority on W's for the health of the program. Miles and Cam obviously believe Jennings is our best option right now, limited as he is, with that being the case.

First off, Miles said from the beginning of the season they would play both guys.
Second, Jennings was nicked against MSU which prompted Harris' last 4 minute explosion against an unsuspecting team. The coaches were right to say that Harris had earned a shot against AU, in view of what happened against MSU and NMSU. It didn't work out and Harris played ok in relief. I don't view anything that's happened as benching in the classic sense.

Why? You don't think Jennings has another NM State game in him?

Harris is a true freshman people. There are not many true freshmen ever ready to start in the SEC, period. There is a reason for that.

Patience.

I can agree with this. In the grand scheme of things the coaches do know what is best for the program and sometimes we forget as fans what all goes in to a decision like who gets the most snaps at qb.
