Not only do they think all of the media is biased outside of the hometown paper (Happy Valley Syndrome)- The head of their SB Nation site is actually arguing FSU has played the hardest schedule of any unbeaten team: LINK

No, he just provided a link to a Football Outsiders metric. That place is pretty much the authority on advanced NFL and NCAA analytics.

One of my favorites from their scout board:

quote:

Having failed in their efforts to have Jamies Winston suspended or put on trial for being young, black, brash and successful, the politically correct and their feminazi cohorts have started targeting Jimbo Fisher. Apparently truth, fairness, and justice are not words in their vocabulary, at least not when they are on fire to accomplish their selfish and oddly anti-liberal agenda. USA writer Nancy Armour is the latest and she spews pure venom in an irrational and unjustified tirade against Fisher. Read here if you can stomach it:

FSU fans are a terrible lot, but this would probably be no different at any other school with a rabid fan base (*cough* Alabama).

Like Seinfeld said, we're all just rooting for laundry. 21st century sports fans really are the worst, and fandom leads people to do or excuse horrible things. Penn State fans and guys like Updyke definitely have made rethink how much I should care about sports in general.

Do you think Florida will beat FSU this year?

Yes.

We lose to UGA, Vandy, South Carolina, and Eastern Michigan.

But Muschamp leaves UF on a high note ending arch rival FSU's quest for a 2nd consecutive National Championship by shocking the Noles in Tallahassee 21-20

You'll beat UGA, Vandy, lose to South Carolina, and beat Eastern Michigan.

Beat FSU? I hope not.

Most programs get that way when they have some success but then start getting scrutinized. Maybe they feel everyone should love anf praise them.

One thing that will be interesting will be if FSU loses 1 game and ND wins out. FSU will probably get squeezed out of the playoff since their loss will be more recent. Then they will really have a problem with the media.

this will be the crux of the playoff debate. When comparing loses, which is more important? Head to head, as FSU over ND, or quality of loss if FSU goes and loses to some hoodrat. Then u start factoring in loss at home/road? Margin of victory? What if that close loss keeps u out of the conference championship ala Alabama in '11? Then u have a big, fricking mess and a quick call to expand the playoff format to 6 or 8 teams. It'll never end. It's why I'm not a fan of the playoff format.

Well, say FSU loses to Louisville, the only remaining team on their schedule that has been in the top 25 this season (haven't been there in over a month). This is where this can get interesting.
Notre Dame plays Louisville, so if they beat the Cardinals they can argue they beat the team that beat the #1 team in the country, however, ND plays the Cardinals at home, FSU plays them on the road. I imagine the absence of a conference championship and the drop off of ND's remaining opponents (Northwestern, USC), combined with beating ASU, won't be enough.

Did you know Louisville is #1 in total defense? I saw that this morning.

Lol, 1-loss defending champ isn't being left out while other 1-loss teams make it in. Ideally shouldn't matter what they did last year but it does, a lot.
The loss would have to be really embarrassing
