I will go to my grave believing this is how Obama won the 2012 election, miraculously get the same level of fervor and turnout among his base despite the huge disillusionment.
Tru . . . JoshuaChamberlain and I are still trying to figure how the Dems got so many out to vote.

Why was this such a non story?
quote:A quick Google of "Democrat voter fraud" shows numerous links of persons committing voter fraud and being prosecuted for doing so. I don't recall this board having "gone absolutely insane with glee" about any of those cases.
Just imagine, for one moment, that she was a Democrat. Would this board have gone absolutely insane with glee at finally catching one in the act?
BTW, in that search, this link came up:
quote:
Woman Convicted of Voter Fraud Honored by Ohio Democrats
She was a poll worker who used her position to vote for Obama multiple times.
Ohio Democrats invited a person guilty of multiple counts of voter fraud to speak – to "welcome her back" and applaud her. They invited her up to the stage, like some sort of hero.

I'm sure you're outraged about that....

quote:I definitely am. Voter fraud, as far as I can tell, is essentially subversion. It's not going as far as treason, it's certainly not bigamy, but it needs to be addressed more harshly than 8 months.

quote:That proves you were wrong about posters on this board being gleeful over the news of a Democrat committing voter fraud.
Were they posted here? I haven't seen them.
If you don't remember those cases being posted here, and I don't either, then obviously no one here was gleeful.
quote:Then why didn't you post the story and show everyone your outrage?

You're losing your argument badly.....

It definitely is, and I want it fixed immediately. Changing vendors would probably be a good call, if it weren't so late in the game. If it's still possible, I'd do it.
That doesn't mean the first response should be "CONSPIRACY"
A guy called in to Jeff Crouere's show on WGSO this morning. He said that when he went to early voting in St. Bernard to vote (I think for Maness), that the machine displayed a vote for Landrieu instead.
He told the official on hand and was told to "X" out his choice and select again. He did so, pushed the "Maness" button and again was shown a selection for Landrieu. At this point he said the official entered the booth with him and observed Landrieu showing up for a Maness selection for a third time. On the fourth attempt the machine recorded his vote correctly.
For whatever it's worth.

It was reported to Secretary of State Schedler and he responded that he had gotten three reports from that polling site and that the machine had been shut down. When asked why in each instance it registered for Mary, he had no answer.

Here's you one from Slick Willy's home state.
quote:
Three Arkansas Democrats and a police officer pleaded guilty to absentee voter fraud on Wednesday as Democrats across the country insist Voter ID laws are not necessary.
State Representative Hudson Hallum (pictured above), his father Kent, West Memphis City Councilman Phillip Wayne Carter, and West Memphis Police Officer Sam Malone pleaded guilty to bribing voters for their absentee ballots for a local election in 2011.

Pattern or Coincidence? What says the Board?

We need to have physical, paper ballots requiring an actual mark created by a person's hand.
Hacking and/or remote manipulation of all things digital does not magically stop at voting machines. Seems obvious to me, but I guess I'm weird...

These machines are incredibly easy to manipulate.

Just how many political opponents were SYSTEMATICALLY MURDERED by social (economic) justice ideologues in the last Century? And what, we now believe that somehow...the same moral ( ) justification employed in that ideological genocide won't be used to cheat in an election?
The coffee is brewin, for all who stubble around in a semi-slumber state of indignance. If cheating don't cut it...they will take it to the streets. Just like up in Ferguson. Morality-based perception is reality; one of many versions. Fundamentalist Islam is another, that remains open to shedding blood for the cause.
Earth 2014.
BTW...Saturday night, God willing...Death Valley will roar!
