You saying this from assuming or seeing him in person? He most definitely was closer to 5'11 than you think. I'm 5'11 and I could barely see a height difference. His short arms and stocky stature made him look short. Kind of like how Brandin cooks looks like a midget but he's 5'10.

No doubt Josh Gray will be a great addition to our team. Hopefully this is the play CJJ needs to put bring together and run his offensive system. Looking forward to seeing what Gray can do

His release isn't quick? It looks exceptionally quick. Quick enough that he should be able to vet it off despite the fact that it is low.

I'm worried that he it may be inconsistent because he releases it at an odd angle, even though he seems to square his shoulders up well.

It is an odd looking release...I think Hornsby also has a release that's a little different from the norm as well. However, both appear to be able to fill it up.

Josh is my cousin. He is in no way a trouble maker. He is a smart young man. He hung with the wrong crowd as a younger searching for an escape from reality. My dad told him to come live with them. He did not want the discipline though my dad would be too tough. His best friend the ring leader of the crew was killed a few years back. Since then I have seen him grow from a follower to a leader. I am proud of him. He is an infectious people. Every one loves him and not because he can play basketball.

I think most people understand that him getting out of the state for a while had a positive effect on him. All reports show that he's been nothing short of a model player for LSU and hasn't had any trouble adapting to LSU standards.

Gray is more of a scoring guard. He led Texas Tech in assists as a soph. FWIW

Yes. The common term for someone of Gray and Jackson's ilk is "lead guard". Should be fun to watch. JJ has already spoken of the challenge to rein Gray in a bit to utilize his dominating frontcourt mates; not to mention sharing the backcourt scoring with a fine offensive player in Hornsby.

The main things Hickey lacked (on the court) was the ability to get into the lane and pass out of that and being 5'10 really hurt.

Well, I kinda thought his shooting from the line or field had a lot of lacking going on.
