used to be mainly black kids, but it's all walks of life now...had two little white kids selling necklaces and bracelets I think for 20 bucks last weekend...I was kind of drunk but I think it was one of those made of paracord

I hate this. If they stay in 1 spot that's fine, but walking around to different tailgates shouldn't be allowed.

Okay well that's not too bad I suppose, especially if it's something they make on their own. I'm still not buying, but I can respect the effort.

I imagine they just buy them and resell them. Either way, lofty goals to try to get 20 bucks at a time

Go find the nearest ABC/ATC agent and tell them some kids are selling beer, then wait for them to swoop down in full riot gear to haul them off to jail. Problem solved.

I've only encountered white kids for their travel teams.

Last year there use to always be this young girl selling homemade mini pies at the top of the hill. They were most legit and great at calming the drunkenness before entering the stadium.

I just tell them, sorry I'm OT Poor. I then proceed to point out the next tailgate crew and say "see those guys, they are OT Ballers"

There are two kinds. Random kids who their parents re tired ok buying it all and say "Hey the Game would be a good place to sell". Then there are those kids on Siegen that are always there,no specific charity/school. They are just pan-handling. It shouldn't be hard to figure out.

My kids have stuff to sell all the time. We usually end up buying it. I don't like all the sports teams, etc. If they want to be in travel ball, etc. let their parents pay for it. This isn't school related or charity so I don't agree sending kids out to beg for it. Some of these teams are just a way to get money for the All Star teams, etc. So I don't give, I also like to know the charity, since the majority of big charities, all the money goes to admin. A large portion of all of it is a racket.

Last few games, have had a couple kids selling candy right outside the gates on the west side right after the game.

Earlier this season we saw a white couple chase down two black women and their street-urchin-candy-pimpin-children in the quad and accuse them of stealing something (I think a wallet). It was super-heated. It went on for like 20 minutes before we left to go inside the stadium. I thought I was seeing something that might end up in court so I took a couple of pictures.

Is anyone else tired of the kids that walk around tailgates and sell candy? It's actually gotten worse in the past year to the point that it's annoying. Do you really think they're "raising money" for something? or are mom and dad just making a buck off their kids.

It's more that everything kids are involved with seem to come with fund raisers attached. Independent sports teams, school sports teams outside of football and maybe basketball, sometimes schools themselves, clubs, etc.

Heck, it's not just kids, even the churches are starting to do these "capital campaigns" looking for money outside of the weekly envelopes for this or that project.

We tailgate in the parking lot where the truck stadium is in there are always kids coming by selling skittles. We give them a hard time that they are really bad salesmen and we make them repeat the sales pitch over and over until they get it right, then we buy something.

Walking from the RV lot toward the stadium I saw a mom walking with 5 children in front of her, all asking every single person if they wanted to buy candy.

The thing that gets me, is not one of them are ever wearing an LSU shirt... c'mon at least try a little bit. Same as the scalpers with a sign that says "I need tickets" and no LSU shirt. I mean really? At least act like you give a shite that there is a game happening.
