The top 7-8 guys are going to have to play a serious amount of minutes this year for us to be successful

This was my first time to watch them so far, and yikes. Some of these guys shouldn't even be in the league honestly (looking at you Withey).

Any trades still a possibility going into the regular season? This team has zero depth

If you have 8 guys that can play, that's all you really need. Teams don't play all 13 guys every night.

I'm not sure we have 8 tbh

Maybe 7 or 7.5

I didn't see any of Russ Smith tonight so I'm not sure about him

Rivers is still Rivers. Ajinca is serviceable, Babbit is serviceable. That's all I got.

I think you're a bit off

Ajinca has looked quite solid when he's gotten PT(looked really solid tonight) and his per 36 last year was a double double. He's a good #2 that'll be good in 10-15 minutes.

Rivers has been up and down but he's hit his FTs at a very good rate(18-24 so far I think) and he's always been a solid defender.

Jimmer was quite productive in his first few games. He should replace morrow fine.

Back up SF is a problem but tyreke is back so we just need 10 decent minutes.

Like I said, this is the only game I've seen, but if Rivers is our top guard off the bench we're in trouble this year

I don't have enough of a sample size of seeing Jimmer to know about him

Ajinca is more or less a big body out there

Salmons, Miller, Withey, Patric Young look like they should be thanking God we're giving them employment

One of the top 3 guards will likely play the bench at times anyway.

I think Rivers will be fine. He at least won't have the mental screwups and be a matador like Roberts.

I like what I've seen so far. Outside shot is as advertised and his D hasn't been awful.

Nah. He's got a solid offensive game and great length. Fouls are still a bit of an issue but that's no big deal in 15 min.

He was head and shoulders above withey+steam last year(I know that's not saying much) a few months after coming over from euro.

He's also quite a decent passer that'll help Jimmer and Co get good looks.

young showed promise but he's a UDFA so he won't be perfect. Miller was half decent tonight and he's useful if he hits 3s and plays D. Withey..Meh.

Smith has a good deal of upside but there's not enough minutes.

I hope so man

I still haven't seen anything from this dude to hope he could be a solid #1 guard off the bench

he's being talked up a lot up here. they like him. i liked him in NOLA, but I think he was just put into a really shitty situation starting when he's just not a starter.

as for Rivers, I just want to see some sort of consistency out of him.

1.Brow
2.Reke
3.Sandy
4.Ryno
5.Holiday
6.Asik

7.Rivers
8.Ajinca
9.Fredette
10.maybe Smith

There's a clear division in talent after the first 6, but we have a 4th big, and enough guards to fill minutes at pg, sg, and sf if we stay healthy.

I didn't get to see what role Rivers played in the collapse, but other than 3 TOs, his stat line looked pretty solid. 10 points on 6 shots, 5 boards, 3 assists, and in the last 3 games he's 13/15 from the FT line. I think he'll be fine as a 4th or 5th guard.

Like I said, I didn't see any other games

He didn't look good running the offense tonight, at all

I don't believe you will find much better depth then what we have currently on this team throughout the league.

Our top 6 guys are clearly starters in the league. We have a superstar on the team and one other player with an all star appearance. We have atleast 5 guys who could clearly put up 20 points any night and 3-4 elite defenders on the team. This team
just needs to avoid injuries and we are in a good place.

Jason Smith put up 0 points on 0-5 shooting and pulled down an impressive 2 rebounds in 11 minutes tonight.

Young and Withey combined to go 0-1 with 0 points, no rebounds and 3 TOs in 17 minutes tonight.. box scores are fun..

Neither of those guys will play any meaningful minutes this year unless they're forced into the lineup.

Smith is in the same situation in NY as if he would have stayed here. He is the 4th or 5th big on the team. Same as Withey and Young. It is tough to make an impact from that spot. He is a hot/cold shooter, but I don't need to defend him. He was a solid guy here and I'm sorry to see him go..
