Most politicians abstain from voting on something where they have a conflict of interest. I believe this particular charge involves a bill the Hubbard actually he'll draft that would have financially benefitted a company he had an interest in.

Score one for the State of Alabama. If they want to start burning some of them at the stake, I'll donate the firewood.

Before the MacGregor scandal broke, our state rep bought his wife a new $80k Audi, and a $120k Mercedes for himself. They took five (5) European vacations in an 8 month period. After other state politicians were making the news by riding in the back of police cars on the way to the pokey, our rep told his relatives to be ready to see the same thing happening to him. I guess in the end, he was too small fry to get arrested.
