I feel left out. What about spring or fall babies? That's making me angry and moody.

I'm a February baby and I'm very irritable.

This is a perfect example of the problem with people (supposed scientists) using statistics in a study without really knowing what they are talking about.

In science, it is well known amongst some that if you go looking for something (like an effect or a correlation) you will have a good chance of finding it...whether it is real or not!

I fail to see how this is applicable in this particular instance. The researchers appear to be interpreting the data with the context of the relationship and not overstating their findings. They acknowledge the relationship. Sure it could be spurious but they don't make any causal assumptions. This may or may not be confirmed with more intensive studies, but that is exactly how science works.

The birthday treasure chest was epic - I hadn't thought of that in 35 years!

For the record, I was born in July and I think this study is full of shite.

The effect size probably not particularly large so even if their findings are generalizable, there will be plenty of people that are perfectly happy and born in summer or very irritable and born in a different time of the year. There are many other variables that will contribute more to one's happiness but that doesn't discount this study's general hypothesis.

This study sounds like horoscopes, never could figure out why 1/12 of all people have the same fortune

See I think it has some logic behind this though. I mean I could see there being purely biological differences due to the time of conception (e.g., less vitamin e in winter). I personally think that there may be an environmental effect. For example, those born in summer may be more likely to enter school at a younger age, and lag behind peers developmentally, which may have negative consequences. It's at least interesting and has some logic behind it (possibly).

My research shows that people are running out of things to research.

Or it could be because I'm a woman.
