Saw one on our property above Savannah a few months ago. And we spend a lot of time in the woods there.. Have been looking over my shoulder ever since.

My uncle called in the game warden who identified the track. We had a laugh as he said my uncle shouldn't have called as they are protected or something like that...

Also have seen a red fox in the yard.

I was coming home from work a few weeks ago and saw one trotting down the middle of the road (West Bon Acre in Cataula) without a care in the world.

This must not be making any impact:

"In Hancock, Harris, Meriwether, Montgomery, Randolph, Talbot and Troup counties, only antlered bucks with at least 4 points on either side are legal."

But it explains why I such crappy luck in Harris. I started going over to a friend's land in Macon county last year.

The fact that it was like 15 inches tall should have given a clue

Having trophy /quality deer regs only works when hunters (like me) follow the guidelines.
Doesn't matter when killers (like them) ignore the regs, shoot anything and then quarter it up and take it home.
I bowhunt only, pass on the 2 1/2 yr old 6's and 8's only to see them shot a couple weeks later.
On only two game cams we have over 11 different bucks. Only 2 on the hit list are a 5-6 yr old 8 pt (125-130 ) and a cull 3-4 yr old who might score 90.
We do have a 2 1/2 10 pt that has potential as well as a solid 2 1/2 8 pt that might make Pope next year.
But, as usual the three gunhunters on the backside will pop these young bucks over their 200 lb corn piles. Saw the rack off and throw it in the back of the truck and then complain later about not seeing any mature bucks

DA's..... No clue what the could see if they laid off the trigger a couple years and let em have a chance to grow.

Before 2 of the 3 started hunting there 4-5 yrs ago it was a sure thing to see one or two mature bucks (Pope or better) on that property.
Havent seen one in person for over two years now.

Not really sure what Geauxt is on. I was making a joke that Fred (fox in my yard) was calling for his son Lamont not Lizabeth this time around. I probably have seen every episode of Sanford and Son. And Ol Geauxt can soak in a hot bubble bath with Esther for all I give a damn.
