Ole Miss fans seem to think they will play 5 DBs like they have been for much of the season and not stack the box as much. That's interesting to me.

The OM defense is legit. If Miles and Cam don't insert a few wrinkles into the game plan OM is going to feast.

This is the key IMO. With our QBs, we will have to force our will and be run heavy, but we will need to be able to surprise them with a few unexpected shots downfield, play action screens or a trick play here and there to keep them honest.

we will not see any 9 man fronts out of them unless we are on the 2

They will press up on our receivers, and challenge us to beat them. We will throw it fairly successfully if our guys can get off of press.

Ole Miss will not walk everyone up to stop our run. They don't have to.

I wouldn't be surprised if we look like we did against FL in the rushing game.

Jennings is going to have to make some timely runs from the shotgun (zone-read) formation.

And if successful, we crush their will. Old fashioned man on man football. I can't wait!

They prolly wont have to. There front 7 is awesome. The only chance we have this weekend is to be balanced and unpredictable. We are not just going to blow this team off the ball. If we try, our offensive output will be worse then Auburn

Successful in a score 30+ sort of way? No.

I do think we might be able to get close to 20.

It definitely is. But, I'd venture to say our offensive line is very good as well whenever it's getting to block 6 vs. 6.

I think it could help us out a bit. If we can run a bit on them early, then maybe they'll have to creep the safeties up a little, and we can take a few shots deep.

Against anything other than a 23 set, a nine-man front is an engraved invitation for a 80 yard touchdown. Ten man fronts are basically nonexistent. Yet according to the average ranter Miles calls a toss dive into a ten-man front 15, 18 times a games.

Their front 7 is good, but they will still do the same thing every other team has against LSU. They will have 8 in the box ALL NIGHT LONG because they won't be scared of Jennings.

He's going to run the ball right at Ole Miss and milk clock. It's the only way LSU has a chance.

Dupre and Quinn may see 3 touches total between the two of them.

I think they have the best defense in cfb. I also think their QB is a meltdown-waiting-to happen, at exactly the time our defense is looking salty as hell. So Imho, the only way we win is turnovers and ball control. The defense needs to get us field position, and we need to grind em and get the crowd into it. We obviously will have to go over the top to Dural and hope lightning strikes. But if Jennings sits in the pocket we will get crushed. We are gonna need some toughness at the LOS and some luck this week, fellas.

This.

Good D, Turnovers and special teams win this game. If LSU can be +2 or better in TO margin and make a couple big plays on special teams they could win. If the D let's Bo run all over them like Dak And Marshall did then it's going to be a LONG night.

What if they control the LOS most of the game?
Do we win?

As long as Jennings is the QB these two aren't even a threat to any D.

Quinn has the second most targets on the team, and the most drops. Dupre just dropped a pass that hit him right in the hands on Saturday.

Why would I expect LSU fans to think that more than the QB has to be on top of his game? They are doing Jennings zero favors, so don't act like they are.

The amount of team drops and receivers running the wrong routes, reminds me of Beckham and Landry in 2012.
