Needless to say, I am pumped! Hoping the environment, fans, and team don't let us down. A great game day experience creates a fan for life. Plus, life will be much easier for me once she drinks the purple and gold cool aide as I did 20+ years ago.

Obviously, I am wanting to give her the grand game day experience. We plan to arrive on Campus by 11 or 11:30AM. Have a few quick questions for the Tiger faithful. Any recommendations on must-see tailgate areas? I am hoping to grab lunch at Chimes for nostalgic reasons; however, it's been a while since I've eaten there on game day. Anyone know the typical wait time for two? Last, will ESPN College Game Day's being there cause any disruptions that morning that I should be prepared for?

Depends... I need to see pics of said wife. Wait time can correlate with attractiveness of females.

Call me an a-hole but I don't understand threads like this. The OP is bringing his wife to her first game which sounds like he has been before and/or is already a fan. If so, shouldn't the OP already know the "must sees"?

It's not hard. It's been said over and over. Arrive early. Stay late. Walk up to a tailgate and get fed. Look up "times of interest" on lsusports.net

Sorry, I clearly have a case of the Mondays. No offense to the OP.

We should, at the least, have a stickied thread that we can keep adding to.

Pace yourself......or she may be passed out by kickoff.

Could be a good thing. That way she won't bitch about being cold and wanting to leave in the first quarter.

Don't count on this. This is a myth we perpetuate.

If you are counting on food/drink with tailgaters, you better be the friendly chatty kind and you wife should be attractive. Opposing fans have a better chance of a friendly plate than a tiger jersey.

Also be prepared to move from loud/boisterous groups.

I would definitely say try to get somewhere near the middle of campus for her to check out the sights. There are plenty of tailgates around the parade grounds and on Dalrymple to see and its the nicest part of the campus. Then I would hit the drum warmup between the amphitheater and the pentagon dorms about 3:30 then walk and see the team come down the hill by Tiger stadium followed by the band. Those are must sees for someone who hasn't been to an LSU game as far as I am concerned.

As far as eating I would walk through campus and just see what smells great and strike up a conversation. Let her see what its like to be around some of the nicest people around. Don't eat at a restaurant. Tailgate food blows away anything you can get around campus.

Much better than bringing your first wife to a big LSU game. 2nd wife would likely be pissed/would like to go her ownself

Good for you and your wife, you could not have chosen a better game, and she will be hooked.
Personally I would go to Walk-ons but if you are close to Chimes that is nice,

Enjoy this experience with your wife
