Doe GoPro video from today

From the IST: I've been lucky so far this season in that I've seen a lot of deer. No wallhangers though, so I decided the other day I'd take a shot at the first good sized doe I saw without a little one. This one and another walked out at 3:50 today. She came in 60yds out and I waited until she fed to 30yds then took the shot. She ducked and I hit her a little bit high but 60yds later she piled up. I didn't even think to shoot low because of how comfortable she looked, but that just goes to show how quick they are. She was 105lbs. 2" Grim Reapers haven't let me down yet.
You can see the other deer in the top left of the frame. I waited for a bit to get a good idea that the closer deer was bigger and neither had any little fellas running around after em. Got my good buddy/lease partner's youngins to come help us find her and they stayed on the trail like pros. Both of them love being outdoors and love hunting. Days like today remind me how fortunate I am to be able to do what I love to do so often with the people I love to do it with. Life is good.

Thanks fellas.
JGT - GB was with me today. I wasn't even planning on hunting, but he texted me on his way back to BR from BSL and asked if I wanted to make a trip out to my lease haha.

Just your luck.
I missed a doe yesterday evening.
My cam hit my knee and I almost took off her hoof. Never had that happen before.
Shot a rabbit at 35 yards to make up for it though.
2nd rabbit of the year with the hoyt haha.

Wow, glad the music was good. I watched the video 5 times and I still didn't see the deer. I'm watching on my phone, maybe I need to rewatch it again on the computer or maybe I'm just a blind old dude. Anyways, congrats on the meat.

Grim Reapers are my favorite.
Congrats on the flat head
A quick question was that a pistol in your hands walking up the deer? Is that legal in La. to finish a deer off with a firearm during bowseason?

Was just about to post this. I can barely blink without getting busted.
Nice deer and awesome you got those little ones involved.

LOL. Thinking the same thing. OP moved more in 60 seconds than I do in 60 minutes.
You young-uns will learn.
Thanks to the OP for posting. Nice vid and good tunes. Great to see the little ones getting involved.
FWIW took a bud to video many moons ago. He was in my tree lounge above me in same tree. At shot on a doe bow kicked hard up. Missed just over her back. After deer split he looked down and told me my top cam hit his heel, thus causing the high miss. We got a good laugh out of it.

Depends on the spot. You could pretty much do jumping jacks in that stand without getting busted because of the cover. It's tucked back inside a huge bunch of brush and trees. There are only really two shots you can take there because of the cover.
Sitting on the side of a pine tree is a little different.

Yes and no. I walked ahead because youngin said snake. I always carry a .22 with ray shot in our woods for snakes. Obviously, there was no snake.

Sorry man. It's definitely not a hunting show hah. And it was still so early you can't see the lumenock for shite. Just a dude with a gopro haha.
Of all the deer in my life I've killed with a bow though, this is the first I've filmed. I've had cameras mess up and filmed maybe 5 for friends, but it's pretty awesome to see.
