I am serious that I would like him to come to the games. They train tigers to jump through rings of fire....and they hate fire as much as they hate pepper. How hard could it be to bait him into the trailer? Wasn't that the whole point of having a mascot to begin with? Wonder if we could trade him for the I10 Gas Station tiger? I bet he would show more appreciation of his new home and show up on Saturday Night.

Ok…Ya'll may remember my all out rant on this topic, but on a very serious note.

Why can the university not bring in a TIGER TRAINER to train him to get in the trailer? Hollywood and Zoos and Circus and all sorts of organizations utilize HUMANE ( hey Vet school….pay attention to that word) methods to TRAIN big cats to do certain things. They are all under the microscope of PETA ( hey Vet school…looked there…you know those folks, right?). They things they train tigers to do is nothing like what we are asking. For example…remember the movie Gladiator? Well, PETA was on site as the Tigers were trained to jump out and roar fiercely and pretend to attack with bloodlust. Maybe…..JUST MAYBE…and I am spitballing here….we could retain the same quality trainers to convince Mike to step into a freaking trainer…..under PETA's supervision of course.

This is a very RAW topic for me. To me this is the same as the GBFTL saying they do not feel like walking down the hill pre-game because playing music while walking on an un-level surface is dangerous.

For crying out loud…….GET THE TIGER BACK IN THE STADIUM!!

Or...and this is a more realistic option...we scrap the plan of getting him into the stadium entirely because we simply are unwilling or unable to do what is necessary to get him in his mobile cage, and allow him roam around his giant enclosure on game days so fans that have bought, paid for, and are continuing to pay for his upkeep can actually see the damn tiger!

I have not seen Mike live in probably a year. I'm only in Baton Rouge for games in most cases, and since he is not allowed out into his enclosure during the day if they plan to try and get him into his mobile cage, I never seen him in his habitat. and since he won;t get in the mobile case, he's never in the stadium.

Scrap the idea that we actually have a tiger in the stadium, because we don;t, and allow fans to at least enjoy seeing him in his habitat during the day on game days.

I never cared if he was brought into the stadium bc I could barely see him in his cage anyways

Don't feed him for 3 days prior to gameday and on gameday throw the meat in his trailer.

maybe of him eating the meat with our opponent's logo?

You're confusing PETA with the Humane Society. PETA activists would chain themselves to the cage before they offered constructive advice on how to handle the tiger.

Reading historical comments from opposing team players, it was pretty intimidating to them when they took the field and had to go past Mike, since we always parked the trailer at the opponents gate entry to the field.

That dog is so sedated on game days I'm surprised it can even walk.

why? Bringing mike to games is a big tradition that we've just about abandoned.

Yea I hate that he doesn't come anymore. That was one of my favorite parts of the pregame growing up

serious though, how badass would it be to have a live feed of mike roaming his habitat, stalking a fricking deer that we place in his habitat.

I was at the RRR and they had Bevo on the field. Now he was clearly sedated as frick, but all they had was a few small barricades and two guys holding him with ropes. I thought it would be funny if he just decided to run bc no way they were stopping him

Rather, when we played Arkansas…put a live pig in there.
When we play South Carolina….a live chicken
When we play State and Georgia….a live bulldog
When we play Tennessee…let's see if we get a Volunteer
When we play aTm…..let's use a live Cadet
When we play Florida….let's use Tim Tebow
When we play Bama….color his swimming pool RED and see if it makes a wave
When we play Ole Miss….who knows….a bear or Col Reb…beats me

Put a BLACK Bear in there and really confused their fan base. They won't know if they should pull for the bear or the tiger.
