the Packers D isn't all that great. The Saints will score their fair share of points.

Saints need this game a lot more than Green Bay.

i mean i get where you're going with this but there are plenty of other intangibles.

the public will jump all over that and the Saints might be a dog at home.

Shocking really. I would expect that to be the other way around. Furthermore, getting back PRob should help a lot with the secondary, especially with how god awful White and Dixon have been playing. I'm also pretty excited to see Lorig get some action. He's got that Charles Clay kind of vibe to me with his ability to switch between FB/TE. Should be interesting.

The Las Vegas linesmakers want to get action for their betting houses. That's why they set lines. Don't confuse this with an actual prediction of where they think the game results will actually finally end.

Its this line of thinking that has no place in football. Needing a game more does not make you better. The team has numerous problems. They stunk it up at home against a terrible Tampa team that every one else blows out. They needed this Detroit game more too. How did that work out?

But it exists in the NFL with a 16 game schedule, especially in non-division games

No doubt

Except for Pitt, but this is true.

I saw us come out and play our best football of the year, on the road, until the last 5 minutes of the game.

It fricking sucked, but there was def visible improvement on both sides of the ball against a quality opponent

What is the point of this thread and your OP?

Can't tell if you're trolling or just an idiot.

I'm going to save my prediction for the prediction thread.

We have been playing fairly close games every week so far this season.

This weekend, it's going to be a blowout.

Not trolling. Trying to tell you the Pack will cover.

You can see the future?

If so, let me know who else will cover this Sunday so I can put together a parlay and bet my life savings on it.

Not necessary. Just take the Pack if you can honestly get this line. Doubling your money in a 3.5 hour timespan is as good a payoff as life affords you.

I understand the line is appealing, but the Saints are a great team @ home on primetime TV. You guys make it seem like the Saints have no chance.

Would you have bet Seattle -2.5 against Dallas IN Seattle? More than likely, yes. Even though Dallas had a better record and was playing better at the moment. After winning 20+ consecutive games in front of the "12th Man" by much larger margins, -2.5 seems like a steal. In this case they didn't cover, but the point is - there's a reason the games are played...

the Saints are still very much alive in their division race

come on man.

I meant Green Bay might be more relaxed and not as desperate as the Saints will be next week. Is that really such an outrageous thought?

I know this season has been a disappointment so far but every year since Payton has been the coach the Saints have had at least one quality home win.

for starters, how could you forget 2008 when the Saints beat the hell out of Green Bay?

I don't feel all that confident that we'll win but it won't shock me if we win either.

this could be a redemption game for the Saints on national television after getting embarrassed by the Cowboys a few weeks ago.

if we get blown out at home next week, I'll shut up and you can come tell me how much a of moron I am then.

in fact, I may just take a break from this board the rest of the season.

no big deal to me.
