The narrative has been "Ohio State entering back into the playoff race" and how they have turned it around and how they are right there in the discussion

Last I checked they lost by 14 to a crappy Virginia Tech team at home and have yet to beat a ranked team. Their best win is probably Navy or Maryland at this point

Don't you need to have some kind of decent win to cancel out a home loss to an unranked team to belong in any Top 4 discussion?

They would have to run the table and have the Pac winner lose 2 games.

Well, you seem to think they are worthy LINK

Efficiently moved the ball downfield and scored in less than 2 minutes

No Virginia Tech hangover here

Not sure why people are so quick to write off Ohio State, Virginia Tech was a good team and no shame in losing to them.

With the way Ohio State just moved the ball downfield, you would be stupid to say this isn't Ohio State's year. This team is still a threat and that was a damn impressive drive. Wow.

Not sure what you're bitching about, they're still outside the top 10. But if they win their confers and finish with one loss of course they have to be in the discussion

Ohio State has looked unbeatable lately

They are definately in my Top 4 if the season ended today.

Minnesota has the same record as Ohio state and their one loss is to a team that doesn't suck... Tcu. Ohio state is ranked that high on name alone. Is Minnesota even ranked?

I hope they are. That will give another quality win over a ranked team.

Nobody, but they're playing just as well as anyone right now.

Too bad that the B1G might make it impossible for them to make the playoffs. Even a team like Minnesota is getting essentially zero credit, and thats not good, because in most cases they would be ranked in the top 15...

If the Buckeyes finish with one loss, they will be in the discussion, and they should be. But that's all that means - "in the discussion". They'll still probably be behind FSU, the SEC Champ, a one-loss ND/Big 12/Pac 12 team and possibly even a second SEC team. They need to both win out and get some help.

That's a good point about Minnesota. They've got a good season going, but with the big 10 in the crapper, no one pays attention to it.

In my opinion this is the pecking order.

Undefeated SEC team (Ole Miss & Mississippi State)
Undefeated FSU
1 loss SEC team (Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia)
1 loss PAC 12 team (Oregon, Arizona State, Arizona, Utah)

then

1 Loss Big 12
1 Loss ND or 1 Loss Big 10

Michigan will put an end to whatever playoff hopes OSU has.
