The call on Raphael Bush was nonsense, especially when the refs eventually didn't even call the obvious PI that happened to Meachem on our last drive. We should have won that game, and I don't completely blame the refs, but they certainly weren't helping our situation.

Saint lack of running the football and SP play calling lost that game. You should expect a few hommer calls, the refs fault the saints lost is a lame excuse for a Saint meltdown.

Holding a receiver's arm is PI.

It was more than a few homer calls

There were multiple factors that cost us. Ignoring or dismissing any in a 1 point game is foolish

This bad call blame it on the refs we lost thread is for losers. Bottom line they could have iced this game many times, throwing a interception not getting first downs lost this game.

You are correct, the call was a touch back. Then the call was CHANGED. There's this thing called DVR, try it. The ball clearly went over the pylon and hit the ref on his right knee. If it went out at the two foot line it would have hit his vagina.

Why would you blame a victory on the refs?

First, I agree. It isn't a competing thought. I can put blame on more than 1 entity. Like Drew Brees didn't just cost us the game with the interception, the protection was also bad in the 4th. The offense didn't just cost us the game, the defense gave up that bomb. There were several factors that lead to a blown lead.

Second, the refs bad calls impact all of that. The game would have already been put away if the refs hadn't screwed us over IMO.

They missed Cadet call where he was absolutely mauled coming out of the backfield at around the 5 minute mark. That stopped the clock and we had to settle for 3.
-That is a screen pass. There is nothing you can do as an offense if the defense is allowed to take the player illegally out. We should have had a 1st down on the 13 yard line. Maybe even a PI since he was taken down by the neck

They called us for a late hit that extended the drive. They called us for pass interference on 4th down that would have ended the game. They called us for another pass interference that led to Detroit's only points in the 1st half. They had the call on the block that set us back.

They didn't call PI on 2 passes on our final drive that were both were than the PI they called on Bush.

So yes, Brees shouldn't have thrown the INT and the defense shouldn't have given up a long TD. That doesn't mean those are the only things that you should look at in that game.

We've had this debate before. I don't understand what is so hard to understand about it. The refs hurt us, but we still should have won the game...

The offensive PI call on Colston was pathetic too. Instead of 1st and 10 from the 40, it was 3rd and 20.

The Detroit player trips him coming off the LOS and he gets called for it

The illegal block on Leilito. That was simply awful. The lions player was looking right at him. The lions player was trying to make a play on the ball carrier. There was nothing illegal about that block.

Jamal Adams of LSU did the same thing to a Kentucky player on the long punt return....

On Bush? That was definitely PI. I'm not upset with the call, but obviously I'm not a fan of the outcome. That was the right call though.

The worst thing is Bush doesn't catch the ball either way

No Roughing the kicker call

They did call the roughing the kicker, SP decided the penalty and kept the points instead of running 3 more plays to milk more time, or make them use their TOs.

Agreed.

And if he does, Rafael simply puts his body weight on Reggie and he'll go OB before the sticks. He was just over-aggressive.

Roughing the kicker wasn't called.

Running in to the kicker was, however. This is a 5-yard penalty and wouldn't have resulted in a 1st down. CSP made the right call by taking the points instead of re-kicking the FG or going for it on 4th and short.

It was the forearm, and if it was clear why didn't the Saints view the call?

Game changer, and I honestly thought it was not PI.

It was running and wasn't a first down, so you don't take the points off the board
